Suzuki stunner!!!!. Review on Maruti Suzuki Swift

So much has been said since suzuki launched their new money maker (read swift). people who like this car will know that this car is more a case of ''old wine in a new bottle''. yup I am talking about the engine of course!!. But suzuki deserves a pat on the back for hitting bull's eye with this launch. They seem to have got everything right this time. Honestly, I think they are doing a great disservice to themselves and to those potential customers by not even bringing out an advertizement on the tv. This car deserves to be bought in huge numbers. No offence to GETZ lovers, but take a look at GETZ and then look at SWIFT, and then decide for yourselves. the bottomline is .....this baby is a STUNNER!!!.

Getting under the skin...here too the SWIFT beats the GETZ, though not by much, I must confess. The engine is a derivative of esteem. Some people might say that its 'OLD'. Ofcourse it is old, but hey its tried and tested, and quite obviously the engine is a hard worker and with the latest tweak to it its verymuch capable of taking on some of the BIG GUYS. top speed of 150 plus KMPH is good enough for any car. getting a mileage of 11.5 to 12KMPL within city limits with a car of this weight and air cons at full blow is very very impressive.

There are some minor problems with SWIFT though, I didnt like the rear visibility especially while reversing the car, and then u have some noises creeping into the cabin, it can be annoying, especially if you are a person who likes sitting at the back.

Interiors could have been better, especially the upholsery, and a rear split seat would have been better, as that would have given more seating and luguage options. underseat parcel tray should have been provided, this would have made SWIFT more practical. Boot space isnt much to write home about, this is where the GETZ scores. Infact Wagon R beats both of them at it while being smaller. everything said and done, SWIFT still scores better than GETZ....it looks refreshingly new, has loads of road presence for those who want to arrive in style, and for once nobody can complain that it looks like the mini...

Its been a very enjoyable few days in my new swift..absolutely hooked to it. For people who are thinking about buying this new sensation, my sincere advice is to be patient, waiting period just keeps growing (3 months since I last heard), think about the styling and performance before deciding to buy another car, because quite frankly, its difficult to beat the SWIFT when it comes to this, and hey did I mention that it is cheaper than the GETZ?!!!!
