Like the title suggests I only got about 120 seconds with the Sony Viao running Windows 8 OS. It was at a Staples Store, which was about to shutdown so did not get a whole lot of time, might have missed a few points. The first thing I felt when I used the system was the interface is not that ...Read more

@JaveedAhmedM: Thanks a bunch! @Raj_onlyone: Well I sure hope it does, I would hate to have somebody go through this experience... @Messiah: About the luggage one of my friends was coming back from Hyderabad he was not charged, not Raj though. The only place I have heard of baggage being weigh...ed is Airplanes. Thanks for the comments! :) @juhijjuyal: Well it was kind of a relief when I wrote the review atleast people know about it, maybe they'll choose a different service. And thanks for the wishes:) @Jai_Raj: Neither have I except at airports... Ofcourse there it is much more than Rs. 20. :) And at that time I was just desperate to reach Pune so I did not have much of a choice, especially after the tickets were booked and everything. @fenil_seta: Well advertisements say a lot, its the actual service on the ground which counts right, and their service sure sucks. Thanks for the comment and the wishes hope to hear from you again. :) Read More

The movie is pretty plain vanilla, we've all gone through this story before (remember Chalte Chalte) the music is good though. And I more than agree with you about the Shah couple and the Khan brothers, I mean the movie is really incomplete without them.....

@msprabhakar All I wanted to say was at the time, with the hazy picture available on cable, and the not so great quality on Dish TV, TATA Sky was a no brainer because you buy a TV for watching programs on different channels not just for viewing DVDs. Anything other than TATA Sky at that time, would... not have done justice to the LCD screen. I actually saw the difference in a shop where they had two screens playing the same channel one wired into Dish and the other with Tata Sky. And about the whole convincing Dad thing, I just wanted to say its worth the cost.Read More

@Chirokat Dont buy a BluRay player if you do not have, and or do not plan to buy a new 1080i or 1080p screen. Because the picture quality will not come out in a normal screen even an LCD. It will be like watching any other DVD.

@kanna_kasturi I know its kinda late to reply, but 1080p and 1080i means your screen is compatible with the new age Hi Definition viewing coming your way through Blu Ray. @Vijay_Krishnan Thats true, but that just tells you the product was worth the effort, it is worth all the money I spent, it ...still works like a charm, and viewing is a pleasure on it.... :)Read More

Kanna You got the wrong guy to tell you between Sony and Samsung...... What I based my judgement on when we bought our Screen was First, I compared the Samsung against the Sony playing the same video on both the Screens and Sony won by a mile. You say here there is no such difference. Secon...d thing I based my judgement on was the life, I am using a Sony 21 since 1995 which is still working just fine, no problems I am not saying an Samsung will definitely have problems, but a Sony usually does not have issues. There are rare cases though, like the guy above me has just stated. Just check the sound on the Samsung however and also check if it is 1080i or 1080p compatible if it is please close your eyes and buy it.Read More

Have you ever seen a fire breathing dragon?? Well I saw one a while back... My Pa had recieved a ICICI credit card bill with Rs. 16,000 which seem rather unexplained. Now it just so happens that the card has a supplementary which is with me and so I know of this. The moment he read the bill from his... card he knew it was wrong, I had the number for ICICI dialed it and out blew the fire!! I tell you the call center guy mustta urinated in his pants!! This was one hellawa angry customer!! Anyways, he did manage to get his composure and get to the manager and he finally sorted out the issue..... Which was........... ICICI had recieved a cheque from us against one of our bills which was Rs. 1,600 now those jerks CREDITED our account with 16,000 bucks.... Which we spent ofcourse unknowingly as it was.... And then they finally realise the mistake some months later and suddenly decide to reverse it..... This kind of a thing can give a man a heart attack... Fortunately (unfortunately for me :(] the credit card has a limit of 20k so there can not be a debit of more than 20k but just imagine!! Had it been a lakh of rupees a guy could die from a freakin heart attack!! Other than that the credit card service has been pretty smooth, yeah I know its the only CC I've ever had but I pay all my bills online and offline make payments immediately and life is good. :)Read More

@vipin.shakya Yeah you sure can every LCD panel comes with multiple ports where you can attach all your audio/video output devices.... You need to explore various options along with your television. I am assuming that if you are buying such an expensive piece of hardware you will not mind spending ...a whole lot on your speaker system. So you could go in for a Bose or a JBL, if you want something specific get back to me out here and I'll let you know. Or just go through an issue of T3, it will help trust me. But the size of your room and what you want to listen to on your speaker system will define what kind of system you need.Read More

@Gforce: It actually depend on where you are, when I was in Pune they did have the PS3 demo. But they did not have a whole lot of games. That way the XBOX is one up on the PS. The Sony Bravia can take all the inputs of which you speak, at one time, that is to say there are various modes like we have... video/tv on normal televisions. The Bravia has 3 Video modes (With 3 Ports) one PC input port so you can use the LCD as your screen for the laptop, and for the Handicam you have a port on the left side of the screen which comes in very handy. Incidently except for the Gaming Console I use every other input device you just wrote about. Hope to hear from you again soon. :)Read More
