Here's a movie you have to watch since it's not too often you get the best talent one can gather, to make a sensible movie.
Prakash Mehra wakes up the statesman without the wishy-washy crap and gives it straight from the gut. The characters stay real, jeering at frivolous mouthing of patrioti...Read more

Anand and I leave Delhi at 5 am on Friday morning and head for Chandigarh, 250 km from Delhi. Our steed is a Hyundai Santro - a 1100 cc, 63 ps machine. The roads in Punjab are narrow but well maintained, and we breeze across at a steady 110 kph. We stop at a dhaba for a filling breakfast made up...Read more

Every Indian deserves to be forced and fleeced into watching this movie, especially if one came in looking for an entertainer. Far from eye candy stuff, it's more of a wake up call; at least for NRIs- to whom it looked targeted at, if not for the groaning and snoring lot I was packed with in the...Read more

It's really been a long time since a bollywood soundtrack doesn't insult one's intelligence and these songs actually reflect on personal lives of my friends too. Example: hazrate phir kisi ki, kisi ke naam ho gayee... These songs really have repeat value.

Piyush Pandey and gang are good at making funny / memorable stuff and they've come out with a campaign which you don't change channels on. Love the last shot when both kid and dog crash at the days end!!

Brilliant! What makes the show funny is the way they use opposites. A compliment or a run-of-the-mill question will be followed by a wicked dig which will leave the recipient in a very tight scene. It also brings to surface the duality in the outlook to life in the Indian community.

If you had a great idea and assuming you were a film maker, you'd make a good movie irrespective of access to a grand or a shoestring budget. People made 'Jhankar Beats' and 'Bend it Like Beckham', didn't they? Despite the difference in the Budget, we also have good Hollywood movies like 'Minority R...eport', 'Finding Forrester' and 'Goodwill Hunting'.
The point is, getting a good idea across to people and it turn being remembered for being an advanced human being who can offer more to the grey cells of a viewer, just in case you want people to see your next movie.
When Kaizad was interviewed, he said, 'I don't know why I made this movie.' Now whether this statement is true or false, after having watched this flick, do you think this is a movie backed with any future thought on what it offers, or any basic intelligence whatsoever? Different or not, all star or not?
It's really not difficult to make something crappy with a lot of money.
