Hi, that is a great review. Thanks! After reading it, I straight away visited mitashi website, and sure enough, they have given the specs pretty decently. Still, there are some more things I want to know. Could you please tell me about the following: Does it do scaling of video? 576p/720p pr...ogressive scan? And does it have the DVD region lock, or not? I will be checking it out in a store soon, but it would be very helpful if you point out any more details you feel worth mentioning. Actually, I am also working in video technology, home theatre systems, so you can use technical terms as well :-) Actually, I don't have a HD TV, so I'm not looking for high end stuff, so if this one doesn't do 720p, it is ok. Leave alone 1080i/p, HDMI etc. But I will certainly be able to lay my hands on some audio/video receiver soon, so I would like to get some decent quality audio from this player, so that it can be well and truely enhanced by that receiver. :-) Anyway, great review! Thanks again :-) Read More

Hi! When engine is cold, idle rpm is somewhere near the 8-9 mark. The bajaj guys had kept it a little higher than that but I adjusted it and it's working just fine. When hot, it goes up to about 11-12 max. By the way, I usually fill fuel only from one famous petrol pump always. It's very famou...s for 'good' and unadulterated fuel. All my friends fill from there only, so I don't think that should be a problem. Once in a while I fill speed. I'm not very certain that these variants are really a good idea, because some mechanics say it's good while some say the other way round... :-( Usually I prefer normal petrol. I'll give my bike for servicing over coming weekend and will let you know what happens. Cheers, KapilRead More

Hi! I'll let you know what the bajaj guys say when I put this issue in front of them during 4th servicing of my bike. But so far, all I did was whenever my bike stopped out of blue, as if out of fuel, I just waited 2-3 minutes and re-started it. That has worked every time. But this approach is no...t at all good for a long time. I've had very bad experience with my old Kinetic when I had neglected some things assuming them to be minor. So much so that I had to get the entire piston assembly replaced!!! Man, that did cost big bucks and still the old kinetic is crap... Of course, I'm positively sure that our P150 problem is not such a major one, but I've learnt the hard way and shall NOT neglect even the minorest issues from now on... :-) Regards, KapilRead More

Hi Alex! Thanks for those good words :-) Well actually I did consider 125cc bikes, but fazer was too new at that time and I didn't like victor. Enticer did not suit me, simply by it's looks. It's a cruiser and I wanted something compact. Having a cruiser style bike has another peculiar problem...: parking trouble! So often I've seen a good friend of mine complain about having trouble finding big enough parking space!! I was really hoping to get a test ride of Ambition, but when I visited Hero Honda showroom, to my shock, yes literally I was shocked to hear that Ambition is out of production. I had heard good things about it and the new look ambition was something I really liked. I still don't know why they stopped selling it??? Maybe someone here can shed some light... Anyway, I'm back at Mouth Shut after a long time, and I'm actually enjoying it much more now. I hope to spare some time regularly and write something worthwhile here at mouth shut. Again, thanks for your comments... :-) Regards, KapilRead More

After a long time, I'm back here. This time writing about my new bike. When I wrote review on Honda Unicorn, I was still not decided on which bike to buy. And yeh, IDEA did not charge me anything extra than what they said they will for mumbai roaming, which is unlike airtel, which did so. Also, IDEA doesn't take anything called 'bill plan charge', in addition to monthly rental, which again airtel does! So in effect, bhavesh and vivek (my 2 friends wh...o had airtel) ended up paying 99(rental) + 50(bill plan charge) = 149 per month. And with IDEA, i pay only 99 per month as rental. So the point is, airtel has lots of 'hidden costs', unlike IDEA.Read More

Well swap, either you are very lucky or bhavesh and vivek are unlucky; but the fact remains that airtel did not give good signal for their connections, and they discontinued it just yesterday. And about IDEA being congested, then that is past. My IDEA connection, as of now, is definately 10 times b...etter than vivek's and bhavesh's airtel connection. NO MORE CONGESTION on IDEA. They acquired more bandwidth. And even BPL is coming up and hot now, once again.Read More
