Hi All!

I'm planning to buy a bike soon, so I took a test-ride of Unicorntoday. Well, as the title of my review suggests, the bike really is smooth as butter. Potholes of Pune, hurt me now, and I'll repair you myself! :-P

I didn't ride it for long though, so I won't write much, I still have to find out.

Gear transmission is great. Very easy to find neutral even with 1 down 4 up configuration, I like it.

Balance & handling couldn't get better!

I made a very tilted U-turn at low speed, still there was no feeling of loss of stability/balance (whatever you may call it).

I dunno about it's mileage yet, need to find out that tough. Company says 60, God! What will it be in city conditions?! 45? :-(

I've heard (and even read in many reviews) that the horn is poor. Well, I'd say it's just enough to serve the purpose of a horn! What is a horn for? To make people on road aware of your presence, and NOT to tell them that they should move aside and let you break a signal!! Neither is it there for telling others to move aside when there is a traffic jam! Well, practically, there ain't any space to move aside in a traffic jam; and everyone is in a hurry, noone is eager to stay in a jam when there is place to move to! So ease off, that horn is more than enough. I HATE the sick loud horns which people fit to their vehicles. I feel such people should be marooned on some deserted island in Antartica!

Anyway, from my small experience riding that bike, I'm very satisfied with it. Pricewise and lookswise I'd say it is at par with Fiero FX/F2 (Pulsar fans, please, you are allowed to leave ;-) !! ). The sad thing is I couldn't get a test-ride of Fiero. I'll be able to make a decision only after I ride the Fiero. I always dreamed of it, and it sure performs. So the decision depends upon whether Fiero is softer than Butter!

Oh yes, I hope both these bikes confirm to the latest emission norms (what are they called? Bharat 2? I'm no automobile geek guys, so please excuse me for my lack of knowledge!).

I've already polluted the environment enough with my old (but a darling) Kinetic DX. I want a clean bike now! :-)

So here's cheers to Unicorn, and ''hope floats'' for Fiero, till I find out about it.

PS: They told me there's 2 months' waiting time after booking! What's this? Are people buying Unicorn in wholesale?! ;-)
