I hve been using FZS for almost 2 years. Few points are, the bike is not good for riding long, it aches. Tyres get punctured too often. Mileage is between 36-40. Good things are the quality of the bike is really good. It has the best naked look in 150. Pickup is very good, but lacks top end accelera...tion. Its braking and handling is fool-proof. I think hunk uses a re-tuned unicorn engine even after hero honda became hero. so its good. but heard it has lots of vibration. Lookwise also, its not bad. Now comes with digital console and rear discs too. So package is good. But as a user, I can guarantee that bike is reliable.Read More

buddy. i can understand your feeling in FE matter. But then, if you are an indian living here for many years, you could have anticipated the fuel price hike(dont be surprised if it hover to 100 INR :) ). And about the bike's FE. You could have done some research regarding the FE of FZ. I asked many,... but no one said i will give a mileage of more than 42. I made up my mind to buy this bike for extra bucks, just because the trust I have in Yamaha. And to be frank, i am disappointed as this the one quality 150cc bike in India. In build quality it is even above Honda Unicorn. I can argue that. I am not disappointed in FE of my FZ also. It gave me the best of 45 and worst of 32 and normally 36.Read More

I would like to reply back with a continuation of my above review in detail. But nowadays i m not getting so much time. Anyway finished first service, now odo reads some 2100 plus in 1 and half mnths. Gone for long drives of 120 4 times. bike is not so good in highway though. bike is perfect for a c...ruise between 50-70. once saw 90 in speedo, but noticed mileage to take a dip to 35. otherwise its 40. now tyres inflated with nitrogen(hmm i think mileage lowered now after filling nitrogen. i think i got some 42 plus before, but good cushioning. too much cushioning may be the soft setting of monocross as per my direction after 1st service adds to it. i always feel low pressure on bck tyre when riding but can’t notice much depression on check. normal is 33 psi at rear). i once top up-ed rear pressure after filling nitrogen with normal air to 34psi on a long drive, but had a pillion. Hmm thats it for now. No time. lots of work @ office. life as software engineer is very very tough. :( . Any way i m relaxing atleast on my short rides to and fro to office on this Yamaha. Good bike for those who want full control of your bike, decent power, decent mileage... in looks, nobody can match it though.Read More

Pulsar 220 DTSi Why I liked it ? I test ride one. Wow. Its amazing. No bike can come close to it in straight road. Handling is not bad either. Exhaust note is good also. and value for money. For 75K(Pulsar 220 DTSi S) you can enjoy the thrill of a 220cc, 21 BHP bike. Hmm not bad. Truly mouth wat...ering. Why I rejected it ? Durability. I know Pulsar's parts won't last too long. Pulsar used to give lots of problem after 2 years. Build quality is not good. Same old design. But I won't say the bike is bad. Also my family and some friends are against Bajaj or TVS. They forced me to take either Honda or Yamaha. Yamaha FZ I test ride Yamaha FZ 16 whose odo displayed some 1300 km. I found that bike reasonable pickup for a 150. I had that heavy showroom guy sat as a pillion. But I m not too much impressed with the overall engine response. Back seat is too small. But the build quality is superb. Parts are made to last. And its plastic casings and priced low. Also there are many cool accessories. Engine note is very good. Amazing handling and road grip Now my bike passed 750 kms. I ll give it for service next week. I bought this because I have faith in Yamaha quality and the bike looks good, rides well, handling is a fun. I rejected ZMA just because of very low mileage and strong dislike from my family. My cousin owns one. He bought it 5 years back when its no Indian bike priced close to it. So it was like a Rolls Royce in Indian bike. Many blamed him. But I think he made a good choice. The bike is still riding very well. Honda quality man. I love that ZMA. Superb bike for long rides and for rides with a pillion. I know its price is only 5K less that of Yamaha FZ-S, but I wont get support from my family.Read More

Hi Madhusoodan, You are in same situation I was two months before. Now I m riding my brand new Yamaha FZ-S. Here is the summary of my bike selection :- I wanted a bike that have good pickup, reasonable mileage, very good handling, good comfort, reliable, durable, good after sales, very good... build quality. I test rode Apache 180, Pulsar 220 before test riding Yamaha FZ 16. I have riden most of the good bikes like Pulsar 200, Pulsar 150, HH CBZ old, HH Karizma, Yamaha RX 100. Bikes I considered : Apache RTR 180, Suzuki GS150R, HH Karizma, Honda Unicorn, Bajaj Pulsar 220, Yamaha FZ. Apache 180. Why I liked it ? Amazing Pickup, Disc brakes front and rear, Good Handling, As the test ride distance was so short I can't say the about top end performance. But I m sure it won't have too many problem in touching speeds of 110+. Very good exhaust sound. Best I think. Reasonable build quality. Why I rejected it ? After test ride I finalised that this is the bike I ll buy. But after a week I heard from one my friend's friend who took the Apache RTR 180 that its giving some problem. I also heard that Apache engine will give lot of problem after 2 year. Poor service centers they have. Honda Unicorn Why liked it ? Coz its a Honda. No problem bike. I can see Unicorns aged 6-7 years going in the road smoothly. Now that's Honda quality. Why rejected it ? Coz its too many. I don't want a single piece limited edition bike, but I want a bike that is very good and not too many. Long waiting after booking(2-3 months) Suzuki GS150R Why I liked it ? I heard many good news about this bike. I know it will be good since Suzuki is know for quality. You can see many Samurai's and Shogun's even now in roads. Why I rejected it ? I m afraid whether I ll get good service. I went to one showroom to see the bike. The showroom guy was not too keen in selling the bike I think. Also I heard that low end pickup is very low Due to limitations of charactRead More

Hi Parag, Good quick review. but can you put in more details as you are pretty experience with GS150R. I m looking for a bike. I m considering Honda Unicorn, Yamaha FZ 16 and Suzuki GS150R. I read many pros and cons about all these machines. No complaints as human made things can never achieve pe...rfection. But very discouraging thing I heard about GS150R are rusting of parts. It shocked me. Even our Hamara Bajaj Pulsar have non rusting parts. Complaints heard from many people in xKmph about rusting of parts within 4-5 months. Its disappointing. Please comment about this. Below are some other questions I would like to get answers from an experienced user like you :- 1. Also did you ride FZ-16. How will you compare the pickup of GS150R with FZ series ?. 2. Is the mileage you getting is a consistent one ? 3. How is Suzuki service though I know it depends on the local dealers only. 4. Road grip on wet conditions ? 5. Control @ high speeds. 6. City mileage ? 7. Brake ? How is the discs ? 8. Pickup on two modes ? 9. Any maintenance ?Read More

Hi aimkay, Good to see more and more Suzukis on road. I love the fiero. I love the Samurai, I love the Shogun, I haven't ride Shaolin. Heard that is a good bike too. I am also planning to buy a new bike. I am considering Suzuki GS150R, Honda Unicorn, Yamaha FZ16 or Apache RTR 180(I test ride one. Su...perb bike). Only thing pulled me back from RTR 180 is the sitting posture. I am software professional and as you know long hours of sitting and I need to travel some 30 km both way every day. Heard that Suzuki GS150R got a nice sitting posture. But i thought it could have some more power to challenge other bikes at traffic lights. I can afford a mileage of 40+ in city. Please help me to choose a bike from above. For now i am concentrating on Suzuki GS150R. Looking for more detailed reviews. aimkay please update yours also. thank you for this one.Read More

Yes you are right my friend. No need to expect much from a good director. Delhi 6 is an example. I am very dissapointed with that movie. I want to watch this though. After that i ll surely put my thoughts in mouthshut. Keep writing good reviews. Express yourself.

Yes Jhiingu. I m bit disappointed jsut because this film came from Rakesh OmPrakash Mehra. I liked Aks and no need to ask any indian that he like Rang De Basanti. I m not discouraging anyone. That is why didn't put the story as different people can trace different story. Anyway nothing special in De...lhi 6 for me or my friends. Looking forward for your review. Take Care.Read More
