Wow.Its a superb movie. You won't get bored at any time except for the last 10 mins(it depends on people though :) ) which I think is a pretty ordinary sequence for such a fantastic movie. But all through the two and a half hours, the movie gives an absolute joy.I saw the movie yesterday only after reading and watching many reviews in forums and TV.In one review in the TV the reviewer was spot on.He was also saying what I just pointed out above. But still you can jump up from your seats after 2 and a half hour with a smile in your face.
Being a malayali, I should say one thing. The theme is not new for us.Infact a very similar movie was released in malayalam back in last end of 90s.But what I liked is the freshness in the movie. The freshness in the faces, music and above all the work done by the crew.
Imraan got a style of his own and director used him very well.Genelia as always cute and their friends are chosen with care.I felt like being in that group.I think, in college days many people would have met with a 'Jaane Tu...Jaane Na' experience though the climax wouldn't have ended up as they wished. It just happens.Parting with very good friends is the most painful thing in this world especially if that close friend is of opposite sex just because unlike poles always have an attraction.
A feeling of possessiveness comes into their mind.Friends are priceless. But everyone thinks the parting is inevitable. Some can't bear that.In rare cases end up with a 'Jaane Tu...Ya Jaane Na' ending. But most will leave with untold love.'Jaane Tu...Ya Jaane Na' reminds us such feeling if ever we come across that or it will let us know there is such a feeling exists if we don't know yet.
Altogether this is a movie with life.So my friends what are you waiting for.Just go an relish the flavour of youth.
