Like I said, there are somethings that the airlines are not responsible for directly. Sometimes the passengers tend to bring in cabin baggages that seem to be appropriate but are in fact not. Then Again, the responsibility is the passengers' not the airlines as especially on some sectors, they reall...y cannot do much. Again I understand that the passengers could have been unruly, but somehow it is hard to believe Sri Lankan Airlines' crew members were not friendly - this is the only aspect of your review that I find most unbelievable and I apologise. It is just that so many times of flying with them, I cannot imagine unfriendly service from them. Nevertheless you have written a letter of complaint - If I know Sri Lankan well, they will be responding promptly.Read More

Your comments surprise me Mr. Divakargokhale. As such your review is oozing with negativity. While I understand that your experience 'could' have been a true one, the fact that you had to call your fellow passengers lowe r to your seemingly high status makes your review pretty 'unbelievable'. I hav...e travelled on the same sector you have mentioned and no - I have found the passengers pretty decent given that a chunk of them are labourers returning home. And had this been just one flight, I would not have a valid point here, Mr. DivakarGokhale - but I have flown a series of flights, over a wide span of years. I am not critiquing you here, While I have not had any bad experiences with UL, I can understand you could have had problems with problematic passengers, but to shun the airline because of the passengers - Somewhat illogical don't you think?Read More

You call this a review? Well to other readers who are mulling over whether to fly MAS or not - relax! Chances are good that this review is a hoax. To say I 'enjoyed' the flight would be a compliment! I mean I usually like flying, but this time it wasn't since I was leaving everything behind. It was OK though, I miss Asian hospitality!

Well coming to your review Imran (if that is your real name too) I think it is a fake. Though Ai...r India is not as great as say, Sri Lankan or even Emirates. It is certainly in line (or make that a little above) with your 'apparently' 100 times better - PIA. Bullshit man! Have you ever travelled on PIA? I have, the planes were rickety and the crew members were snotty too, but I wouldn't complain - you know why? Cuz my country's airline is not extremely better either.
But sadly, Imran , I feel so sorry for you - its pathetic. Yeah, I have seen students like you in my school too. And yeah about Pakistan winning against India - we sure taught them (and all of you a lesson) when we defeated you in your own country. I usually avoid such comments, but desperate times need desperate measures.
You know Imran? Have you watched Veer-Zaara ? Did it teach you anything you retard?
This is what I have to say to the very few Pakistanis who exist in this world who are Anti -Indian - When you broke away from us, it was religion and commonality. But look at us - when it comes to our national carrier - though not the best, everyone HIndu, Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Jain came and defended our country and our airline.

Hey Sai.
I know everyone says this, but still here I go - THE REVIEW WAS AWESOME.
And especially the song Hum Hain iss pal mein - Such an awesome track, with the heartbeat sounds, and birds. Just awesome - this is one of the tracks that instantly grows on you!

I RESPECT your opinion, but I stand back when it comes to agreeing. As for we Indians 'nowadays' complaining - thats actually nothing new. We have always complained. We have always been jealous. Its in our blood system. The Incident that u experienced is a very unfortunate one, but knowing MAS, if y...ou address their customer complaints section, you are to recieve a satisfactory explanation. I like your detailed revu. But I have to say very very frankly that I do not agree with most parts of your revu. Foremost, the crew are nowhere near 'freindly'. They must be one of the airlines that have the 'all-hide-passengers -are -coming' policy!!!! Apart from the hostess who says 'namaskaar' at... the door, (who herself does not look at the passenger, and looks as though forced to do it). I like the food though. But seriously , I would not (read: never) recommend Air India, not even to my worst enemy (except in some cases!:P)Read More

No seriously, I read your comment over five times to just understand what u were saying, but I still do not get what you are trying to say.
Perhaps the incident where Trichy sank to its lowest was where they singled out on my mom because she was w...earing the black robe. And the were shamelessly asking 'Enna Dubai a?' (Are you from Dubai?). We were like 'No we are from Saudi'. And then they started 'mumbling' something like - 'we got all the latest screeners - lets see where you hide now'. We were shocked and asked what they were talking about. And it was then that they were saying that we have a DVD Player in our bag and asked us to pay duty for it. First of all We did not have a dvd, and second I never understand why bringing DVD/electronic items is such a big problem for them. They did rip open our bags and found a cookie box- no apologies made. Next they were like 'Dubai la irunthu vaareenga? Jewellery ellam neraya podalaya?' And then je started picking on my mom's necklace and my sister's gold chain. What the heck????? Aren't we supposed to wear any jewellery?
Rama, I do not know if you believe me or not , and if you don't I have no proof to make you either. Just that Trichy A I R P O R T stinks, otherwise no grudges against Trichy itself. For that matter how would I have a grudge against my native place?

Hi Keerti. Well this was just a review. I have actually come across people say Indian Airlines is awesome. Well! I really do not know, but so many times on an Airline and unsatisfactory service each and every time just does not look like a co incidence to me!
As for Etihad - Forget em. Tried it o...nce, and I made my mind not to travel with it. I don't know - but I have some weird attachement towards Sri Lankan Airlines. Maybe itz because it was the first airline I flew as a baby, I always find them above everyone! And the good news is Sri Lankan flies to Trichy!Read More
