Why don't you just file a complaint with the District Consumer Disputes Redressel Forum (also known as Consumer Court) and haul these fellows to court for deficiency in service?

A bio-pic is not a suspense movie and I kind of got carried away by this notion. I'll keep your valuable suggestion in mind the next time around.

Hey KK, KANK is certainly a good package but when SEL are involved we expect magic. This album showed that in one song - 'Mitwa', the others were a collection of good melodies, a dance number which all got mashed when Karan Johar infused his style of orchestration. I can't wait to hear 'Don', S...EL under Farhan's free hands should be an interesting fare. Meanwhile, get your hands on 'Omkara' and key in your thoughts, I strongly recommend this album after hearing to it. Am also waiting to hear your thoughts on that one, and your blog is very informative. Will catch you on that in a bit. Regards, GeoRead More

KK, I didn't get a chance to see/hear any of the music from this movie. I can bet that there won't be any synth on JW's score. If you say a trailer then it should most probably be some temp track added to it as they have in the past. JW has done Irish/Celtic stuff before, the most notable being '...Far and Away'. Let's see how it shapes out ..... 'King Kong' - three words to sum it all - dramatic, exhibitive, awesome. GeoRead More

Hey KK, ARR's music comes at a time when mediocrity is celebrated in the name of 'good' and trash is labelled 'superhit'. RDB is truly going to be a milestone of using almost new set of singers, I guess because he's striving to create new sounds from fresh people which is commendable. It's also ...disputable as to his singing which at the best is likeable and earnest. I don't give a damn about all this because here is a guy who has the spine to stand up and say 'hey guys, hear this and make it your own' when the whole world says 'i am the best'. Rahman at his best is second to none, he's back and so is my dear friend KK. Hope you did justice to your studies too KK. GeoRead More

Nik - Vidya Balan is truly a revelation, i am sure the director would have had to do things more than once to get her emote so beautifully. Ankita - Thanks, I don't think any review can ever fully capture the essence of the movie. Khushi - Thanks for your comments, the movie was truly an aesth...etically pleasing, sensible commercial movie. Sajitha - Believe me, you won't regret seeing this movie, I'd love to know your reactions after you see this. When I was going to post this review there were 71 other reviews for this movie but the support from MS members have been encouraging. Thanks to all who read and rated the review. GeoRead More

A short background Vidhu Vinod Chopra is one of the few directors in India who's got it all to call himself a good director. His movies have had good music, excellent cinematography and a good script to take the story forward. For the novices, he roped in Sanjay Leela Bhansali to direct his s...Read more

KK, As you rightly said, I was in a sick state of mindset when I had to pick 'Constantine' sometime ago because I didn't want to hear any choir-gothic-gospellish orchestra sermonising. After some prodding from my Brother I picked this one up and was amazed at the sounds that were created. The DVD... quality is simply the best. Still getting to hear it in bits and pieces each day. It sure is good. GeoRead More

If Rahman is in his elements there's probably none who can stand up to him. This album rocked, so did the revu. Pity that I saw it late, been travelling a lot lately. KK's my hero. Geo

It would do good if you check with electronics guys in your towm and make sure if retired stock is being dumped. It's been some time since I went to the dealer's end, but the stand offer still holds is what they say 'unofficially'.

I am not sure why Philips pulled out LX600 out of the market. It could be some flaws which were detected recently. And yes, the manual of LX600 shows an output of 100 watts per channel. Technically both are loaded with the same features too.

Hi KK, I was pushed into getting this DVD after your note on Jan A.P Kacsmarek. Being honest with you, I didn't expect too much musically until I heard from you. I should say, this is by far the best work of this composer. The piano recital which is featured in the credits of the movie is what ta...kes the cake away. It's graceful, it's tender, it's lilting, it's classical and belongs to a different genre altogether, I am sure over time this is going to become one of the all time best piano pieces of the 21st century. The music of the film was phenomenal to say the least. This movie on the whole was a good movie, thanks for suggesting this soundtrack, I doubt if I'd ever have picked it if not for you. On the other hand, I recently figured out that the Universal Studios fanfare theme was written by Jerry Goldsmith originally. Regards, GeoRead More
