Car is good. But my experience with GM service was bad. I bought it as brand new in 2012 spending 11L in Bangalore. The service interval is changed to every 15,000 KM and the bill for just oil, oil and air filter and labor was just Rs 6000+. For a D segment sedan it is a very cheap bill. Turbo c...harger costs around 45K, Dual mass fly wheel clutch set 34K , main fuel pump around 44K. ( above are approximate figures) But usually magnum is a decent car. I think it can go easly 300K KM , if properly serviced at regular intervals. My first set of front brake pads lasted for 30K KM.Read More

After 5 weeks of immense follow ups and efforts the fuel pump was replaced free of cost at the dealer. I had to pay Rs 4040 for the labour charge and also for another sensor (crank position sensor) which declared to be gone. The car as a product is good but the approach towards customer is the thi...ng that needs be turned to positive. One month I had to use my alto for long trips. Until and unless after sales support does not work well no auto companies can prosper in India. It seems like Toyota is better in this aspects ( I owned a Toyota innova before I put my hands on chevy)Read More

Today I received an email from the dealer Geeyem Motors Kochi stating that I have to spend the money for the fuel pump. When I raised the issue of fuel pump in January, February while car was under warranty there was no response from GMI CAC (customer service ) for my repeated complaint- emails. ...They kept quiet till now. Now they are telling vehicle is out of warranty.see the trick. I have to go to court for justice now. That's the last resort for a common man.Read More

An update - I called the toll free number at night around 12.40 today and I was able to speak to a customer service executive but he was telling me that their customer complaint department will work only during day time. he was not even ready to make a note of my issue and pass on to the staff who m...ay handle the day time duty. One thing I can say is that there is NO Customer focus. This is not the sign of a company that want to excel in customer service and customer satisfaction. India need only quality service and quality products. Read More
