I wonder why the mileage is so low (of course, I'm trying to do the mileage conversion from km/l to miles per gallon, and am having some major problems...)... Then again, there are some tiny cars in the United States that get lousy mileage. The Daewoo Leganza is one of them. Hmmm... Rock on,... ElizabethRead More

but I saw the movie. And, I can confirm for a fact, that the lawyers as depicted in Grisham, are exactly the same as in day-to-day life... I know, because there were a ton of pre-law majors in my Political Science program. Unfortunately, all of them showed the same amorality, and love of the mate...rial things in life. Values didn't count... Anyway, great review! Rock on, ElizabethRead More

When I saw the topic, I just had to put in my two cents. Funny thing is, in the States, automatics and sticks have about equal market share. Then again, with massive fuel subsidies, gas is cheaper here than in much of the world. I think that's why you see so many huge SUV's around here-- Lin...coln Navigators, and Ford Excursions are becoming more common. You can drive my little car right into the back of one, and still seat 7... Disgusting! I know exactly what you mean about a stick shift-- that feeling of control is great. My weekend driving an automatic almost lulled me into a coma! :-) Thanks so much for reading! Rock on, ElizabethRead More

Once upon a time there was a 26 year old girl who was learning to drive for the first time.  She was relatively poor, although she was about to receive a small inheritance after her grandfather’s death, which would enable her to purchase her first vehicle.  She hemmed and hawed- what sort ...Read more

You know, every one of the complaints you have with this company, reminds me of my dial-up service problems with America Online in the U.S. Most of the time, you would get frozen up or disconnected if you even managed to get online with them in the first place. My sympathies to you! Rock on,... ElizabethRead More

It is so hard to describe just how much I hate Pepsi-- to me it is evil incarnate, and that is about the kindest way I can put it :-) So, here's my little review of Coca-Cola's main competitor: One summer day, just six months or so ago, the Pepsi Challenge hit Justin Herman Plaza in San Fr...Read more

Title, courtesy Berke Breathed, Bloom County cartoonist. You'd think from this title that I really detest Coke. Nothing could be farther from the truth. In fact, for years, I harbored one of the largest Coca-Cola addictions known to humankind. I would drink a 20 oz. bottle daily, at the very ...Read more
