I wish i could sue them for i missed very important interview calls due to their network!
I was expecting calls frm big IT giants, after days of waiting, i called up the HR and they confirmed that their records say they had called me up!!!!!

i use aircel in delhi for internet! it give me download speed of around 16-20 Kbps with accelarator! Depends on your distance frm tower. i use aircel EDGE. so that speed is expected. airtel gives pretty much same speed!

whoa!! you had too many queries...seems u have done quite a research before going for this one!!
i’ll try to sum it all up...
1. No mention of 3.5mm jack in manual. Are u sure?
->am absolutely sure! fine, up and running!!!!
2. Trackball effect & how long it will work.... Earlier SE phones had this problem.
->this has worked quite well for me! just be sure not to touch it with dirty hands, the dirt will stich to the rollers inside, pretty much the same way as it used to do with the old ball mouse!!
3. Complicated interface. no dedicated dial key for each sim. Look for Videocon phones.
-> not complicated!! yes no dedicated dial key for each sim but still it works quite well! the keys are well placed and easy to use once u get used to it.
4. Video supports only AVI format!!!! No 3GP??? This is horrible these days!!!!!
-> supports *.3gp and *.mp4 as well! no issues. try keeping the resolution to 320X240
5. Only 3 numbers per contact name - not sufficient at all nowadays.
-> haven’t noticed this one! but i dont need more than two for each contacts! and if there are more numbers i like to save it seperately with more specific names like. XYZ delhi, ABC blore etc...depends!!!
6. No dedicated camera key, volume control keys at sides.
-> absolutely this is a pain! but the camera is not that good that u need a dedicated key! and volumes was a real miss there...must say i missed dedicated keys!
7. Memory card slot under battery.
->yepp! but u cant have all the luxuries. external slot will increase the size of the phone!
8. Everytime you remove battery, u have to set time & date.
-> nooooo!!! absolutely not! few samsung phones have this trouble!! this is so painful!! i hate them just for this! this phone doesn’t asks for anything like that!
well...use ur discretion! i just love the value for money of this phone!

I received a query on how to configure gmail account on phone! so i thought it would be good to answer it here also for those who can’t do it and find trouble with the same. Please note that the below text is in context to a query.
’’...only one thing is required...just make sure that you hav...e a working internet connection on your phone. i use aircel delhi network and it runs fine....if you encounter problem then call aircel 9716012345 or 121.
Now the gmail part...
Open your gmail account and go to settings in the upper right corner. and click on ’’Forward and POP/IMAP’’ enable it!!! then follow this link------- http://bit.ly/tyZa
And set all the settings as per instructions in ’’Services>>Email>> ;Email Accounts’’ in your phone!!
just remember that ur username in gmail has to be with ’’@gmail.com and also try port number 587 for outgoing server’’
and Nimbuzz works readily if you have a working connection! make sure you can access it on the web. ’’Read More

if that is the thing then its the firmware problem and this is an internal software problem. keep in touch with the service center and ask them what is the firmware version of your phone? or dial *#8375# and note down the displayed information for future reference.
ask the serivce center i...f they have any firmware upgrade to your phone( software version).
after they upgrade cross check the new software version whether they have really upgraded it or not.( now *#8375# should show you different version!!)
usually it takes nearly 3-4 months from launch for the company to release a new firmware! We can do nothing but wait till they make an upgrade available!!Read More

it just has a ebook reader!! like the ones in chinese phones. and only supports txt files! this can be a let down since mail attachments are documents! but micromax never claimed it to be a smartphone,..just that it acts a bit like one!

absolutely it does have support for mp3 ringtones!! loud and clear! better use a high bitrate(192kbps) for clear and crisp sound.

look buddy, everyone has his own preferences when it comes to carrying cell phones. And i seriously doubt your choice! this is good stuff for the price for sure. i change my mobiles at half the rate i change my tshirts! so it's high chance i've used ur all mentioned phones and i might not hav...e like 'em since i settled for this one for now!!! and as far as gifting to your servant is concerned, why not put some more money and gift him all your ' NOKIA5800/LG505GT./SAMSUNG CORBY ECCETRAS'!!!!

Micromax has used the cheaper chinese chip design and used the chinese firmware(software) with little changes in the interface n all! Q5 has quite powerful processor which handles java apps very sppedily, so that is one improvement over chinese handdsets.
QWERTY is awesome!!!!
Track BALL is Super ...Awesome!!! ( just i fear it might get non functional soon if roughly used!!)
The phone looks amazing!!!!
1000 sms and 1000 contacts are great and unexpected stuff!!
EDGE is great addon and welcomed!!!
Music player is same as the chinese ones have! ( just to help you recall, all the LG dynamite sets KG200 and KG300 which came at the same time the chinese appeared, had the same software and same ringtone problem and it continues to exist but that bothers me least!!))
headphones don't loook cheap at all and are great sounding. 3D surround is a thing to mention!!! Unexpected performance!
Java support is good and hence Getjar.com can come to the advantage to increase the productivity of the phone!
the battery life is super awesome! i heard music constantly for 8 hrs and only one bar out of three vanished( battery bars)
pop3 email access is added advantage!
out-n -out this is an awesome phone at this price!

hey buddy!!
a few words frm my side for the laptop you got!
firstly, u re lucky you got the P8700 processor for a low price since Dell has recently stopped bundling it with studio 14 and has degraded the processor to T6600.
secondly, if you buy a 500 gb 7200 rpm drive, this will inturn eat a l...ot of battery, for sure more than its using currently on your system.
thirdly, Dell has worst customer support. they wont pick up the phone most of the times ( if you get connected)
fourthly,
if you have not been supplied with an inbuilt graphics card ATi raedon 512 mb in this huge price then dell is the biggest cheat! they gave youa good processor but took the graphics capabilities away.
fifthly,
studio is not very high rated in terms of customer satisfaction!
and finally, it sounds tooo bad!! its speakers are good for nothing.
you shoud have gone for studio 15 (HD wide screen 16:9) atleast.
in all respects, i feel lucky to have chosen Lenovo Y550 that costed me 54500 and is awesome!!!
