Like many, I was to attracted to the Rs. 98 unlimited internet facility that Aircel started in Delhi circle. Initially, it was fascinating! hence, I soon switched the Aircel sim as my primary number and thereafter, I realized what BIG mistake had I committed.
In the light of following issues, I'd never recommend anyone to go for Aircel.
- Aircel has no network in many states and they started providing the service.
Rajasthan, Haryana and many other states do not have Aircel network, so you might face big problems while you are travelling. The network switches to VODAFONE which charges insanely for every msg you sent and every call you do for every msg you will be charged Rs. 3.5 by Vodafone. Every call is charged.
This is very irresponsible on Aircel's part.
No network availability also means you wont find any recharge coupons on the local shops. The lame Aircel website won't provide you means to recharge online. All you can do is call up your friend in areas where coupons are available and ask him to get you an e-recharge or something of that sort. Now, they have introduced an online recharge facility but that isn't very helpful.
AIRCEL bugs you
they keep bugging you with promotional calls which are irritating as hell! any time of the day, more than 3 times a day from different times. Even after you keep telling them at customer care centres NOT TO! in this regard I talked to many Aircel nodal officers but all in vein.
- AIRCEL has poorest reception.
AIRCEL has never paid any attention towards improving the signal strength and it has least number of towers. All that it has invested is in promotion and on big names like MSD.
There are many problems with the network and it uses Vodafone's network in the areas where it has no coverage.
VODAFONE charges like crazy for every roaming call and sms!
I have suffered a lot due to this poor network and would never suggest anyone to use this network. Please guys, I would suggest you not to go for AIRCEL.
