I have complained about this and the poor quality of their authorized service centers to HMSI through their portal exactly a year back. You can be assured they are not listening. Max I can do is I recommend people against buying honda bikes because of the lack of good service centers in Chennai.

I am also a new owner of an Unicorn. Before you get obsessed with the fact that your bike has a problem i would recommend you ride another unicorn from a friend and see if your bike realluy has a problem. Becuase having driven a smooth engine for a while makes us used to it and force us to find smal...l issues with the bike. All bikes will have small small imperfections. After all they are just machines. When you want to work closely and personally on your bike’s maintenance I strongly recommend you to to move to a private, well known mechanic for servicing. Because the guys at honda care the least about your bike. Enquire around and licate a good Castrol Bike zone or any well know decent local mechanic. He will do wonders on your bike. Extremely good point Ilyasmd . i have never thought of digital consoles before from that angle. Except for cosmetic reasons what good are they??? After readin your post only I remembered that I preffered Analog watches over digitals.. I bought a Unicorn anyway out of instinct. :)

FZ is a good bike but its mileage makes it unreasonable when compared to mileage given by Unicorn or GS. Test drive the GS. Its a very good bike. It has ultra smooth gears when compared with the Unicorn. And it has a great feauture -- Its meter shows if you are riding at the right speed for the g...ear you are in and recommends the optimum gar for your speed. Pretty cool .Might improve your driving in a big way in the long run. But it might not have a good resale value like the Unicorn. If you plan to have this bike for 5+ years, I think you can narrow on the GS. But test drive before you choose whether the sitting position suits you and you personally like the feel of the bike. I have tried out pulsar 150, I have even recommended it to some ppl even after I bought my Unicorn. But to put it real short the cons of a pulsar are 1) Comparitivley low resale value (I plan on getting a Bullet in a couple of years ,so will need a good price for this one) 2) VERY VERY Common ... Its lost its special treatement these days. Nobody looks at a pulsar these days. 3) When compared to a Unicorn its engine is a bit noisy and vibrations give you a feel you are not riding a finese bike which you get on a Unicorn. But the Pulsar wins hands down in 0-60 pickup when compared with the Unicorn. Its just a matter of taste on which one to go for.Read More
