Its been more than a month and crossed 1000kms. I have a full black unicorn. Wanted to share my opinions about the bike.

Pros: Excellent Engine refinement. I wont exaggerate like you wont know whether its running or not, but the vibes you feel are so gentle that it feels too good.

Mileage: I get 57+/-2 for city riding constantly every time. Yet to try it out on the stretches. This is almost great for a 150 cc bike. I am very happy about it. The mileage improved a little bit after First service.

Great looks - I honestly think the FZ beats the unicorn in looks. But as a matter of fact looks are a personal thing. So dont matter about what the reviews about looks say, its how you find it thats important. As per me its a beauty.

Excellent Suspension: I have read about some comments saying mono suspension has draw backs compared to twin shocks. Crap. No other bike in the Indian Market has such suspension like Unicorn and the FZ. I have no doubt that every 150cc+ model released henceforth will feautre monosuspension given the success of Unicorn and FZ.

The suspension doesnt give you significant difference when you ride over a speed breaker or a big pot hole. It will be the same. But when you ride on a bike littered with gravel and small small holes for a long stretch, the bike will glide through giving you the feeling that if you clsed your eyes you will not know you are riding on such a road.

Cons: Poor Head light( The Focus is miserable, the light is too spread out, the service station failed to fix it in my first service)

Tail lamp Vibration(Service failed to fix it though this seems to be a problem reported in almost every Unicorn Made)

Disc Brakes give a slight annoying noise and a mild shudder after sometime, but this is something that can be lived with and does not affect the performace of the brake or the bike in anyway.

Service Centres suck. They are least bothered to listen to your issues, they just want to get the free service coupon from you. They changed the oil and washed it.I have written to Honda about it. The bike though new requires usage of choke on slight cold mornings too. I dont know how it will fare in Chennai Rains. Yet to experience that. But still experts say usage of choke daily in the morning is not to be considered a problem.

One additional thing that can be either an advantage or a drawback is the high gear ratio. The cog ratios are chosen such that the bike gives best mileage possible and thus compromises on pick up at low speeds, but at the same time offers best pickup in the range of 50 - 80 kmph. Check the 50 - 80 acceleration in your test rides.

10000 km Update - Bike still as good as new. no signs of ageing provided its well maintained.Stronlgy recommended.
