If you are still waiting for your dream bike – you may go with Honda Unicorn.

I have noidea how Suzuki GS would be but I covered Kanyakumari to Bangalore within 13 hours with 2 stops in between. No body pain at all. This may give you a good idea how the bike is on the highway.

Lets look at the goods and bads of this bike.

Goods

+In city a 53-55 km/h is not a bad deal.+The balance is terrific. Single suspension holds the bike firmly on the road. It is the smoothest bike in the segment. Some times you really need to raise the throttle to know if the engine is still running.

  • Theseat is long enough to accommodate Indian ladies sitting posture – both legsone side.

  • Panelis not digital – but yes even I agree – it looks nicer if the needle moves upas you increase rpm. In digital it’s only changing digits. Not that impressive.

+Top speed is 110. But under certain conditions.

  • Its weight keeps the bike firm on the road.

  • Sitting posture of unicorn – both rider and pillion – is made such a way that you don'tget body pain even after a long ride.

  • Wider fuel tank gives you better balance.

  • Noplay in handle after the handle is locked. So tough to break the lock.

  • Widerider seat.

  • Good breaking.

  • Parts are affordable.

  • Low maintenance cost.

Bads

  • Headlamp is not as bright as other bikes.

  • No twilights/parking lights.- Problem is its height. It is tallest in compare to normal bikes on Indian road. Only new Bullets are taller than this.(My and my friends’ experience says this. Though in pen and paper you have many other bikes taller than Unicorn – I don't know how they measure.)- You cannot drag the bike like Pulsar or Apache can be. It's a gentleman bike.- Not a bike which can impress your girlfriend in college. Looks little aged. Not sporty in true sense. -The mud deposit on the rare suspension needs proper cleaning.- Rare suspension is not easy accessible.- Air filter is not easy accessible.- At 7000 or more RPM it looks for another gear after 5th.

But – yes.To me the bike is best in the lot.

I haveexperience of riding many bikes for good amount of time.

But thisone is really worth its cost.
