Driving Experience/ Fuel economy The one section that everyone might want to hear- Driving comfort, handling, a highly responsive engine, great Anti Roll property, lower seating position, great power steering, everything helps to escalate the driving experience to a new level. Immensely sporty, y...ou can zip through city traffic with ease. Going from 0 to 60 is almost a cake walk for this mean machine. On straight roads you can cross 100 in less than 10 seconds. I have touched 140 kmph, and the ride was really smooth, no vibrations or sound enters the cabin. Once in 5th gear the car you feel like gliding on road. Hmm… the fuel economy part, the mileage varies b/w 11.5 kmpl to 13.5 kmpl with A/C in City, and on highway you can get around 15 kmpl. Now, with out A/C you can get above 17 kmpl. The overall maintenance (Service) cost will be low may be around Rs 6000 per year. Final Verdict A great car… contemporary styling, comfortable & pleasant interiors, sporty driving experience, good maneuverability, all the above positive aspects coupled with great service network of Maruti makes Swift, the best Small/mid segment car a Indian buyer can get…. So what are u waiting for!!!! Go ahead ….dump your girlfriend and go for Swift. Dear readers, all your queries and suggestions are welcome. Read More

Seats/ Comfort The seats are quite good, both in front and rear. Ample thigh support and back support. The seating position is quite low, good head space, and good view of the road. At times the blind spot at the A- pillar annoys you, but will gradually get used to it. Getting in & out of th...e car is easy for people of all sizes, the doors can be opened almost 80 degrees.Swift is a very spacious car, my opinion is that, it is a better package than Ford Ikon. Coming to rear seats….cozy, spacious (3 or 4 people can sit comfortably). Rear seats are in raised position than the front seats, so the passengers too can get a good view of the road. The stock upholstery is quite good; if you need greater comfort and style, go for leather seating which can lighten your wallet by a neat 18000 bucks. Rear leg room at rear can be a bit of a problem when the front seats are pulled completely backwards, otherwise there is ample space to run around. On the rear there are two head rests and seat belt for 3 passengers. VXi comes with all door Power Windows and central Locking. The location of power window controls in Arm rest is also quite correct, (but needs refinement in my opinion). The AC is quite powerful and probably best in class; the cabin cools to a comfortable level with in 5 seconds when the blower speed is at 2. Beyond 3 the blower is a bit noisy. Read More

My rating 5/10 Neal N Nikki for me is a misdirected movie. The Chopras dont look sure whom to target with a movie like this. From the Indian point of view, this isn't a family film. Not that it is too bold a subject, but really there is nothing much in there for matured cinegoers or you to wa...Read more

Advantage: Continuously variable timing and duration of opening achieve both drivability and high speed power. Disadvantage: Not ultimately as powerful as cam-changing VVT, because of the lack of variable lift; Expensive for V6 and V8; impossible for V12. Who use it ? Rover 1.8 VVC engine servi...ng MGF, Caterham and Lotus Elise 111S. V V T's benefit to fuel consumption and emission EGR (Exhaust gas recirculation) is a commonly adopted technique to reduce emission and improve fuel efficiency. However, it is VVT that really exploit the full potential of EGR. In theory, maximum overlap is needed between intake valves and exhaust valves’ opening whenever the engine is running at high speed. However, when the car is running at medium speed in highway, in other words, the engine is running at light load, maximum overlapping may be useful as a mean to reduce fuel consumption and emission. Since the exhaust valves do not close until the intake valves have been open for a while, some of the exhaust gases are recirculated back into the cylinder at the same time as the new fuel / air mix is injected. As part of the fuel / air mix is replaced by exhaust gases, less fuel is needed. Because the exhaust gas comprise of mostly non-combustible gas, such as CO2, the engine runs properly at the leaner fuel / air mixture without failing to combust i think this compilation will be of great help to all, so next time when u go to a Honda show room , dont simply listen to what sales person is telling.
