Ambuj, Like I said, I couldn't find a category that could perfectly fit this review. Sorry to disappoint you. Cheers!

Santhosh, I agree there are no 'gay' animals, and I wish I had some kind of scientific facts to spill out about how homosexuality IS in fact inherent in a few of us. But I don't. All I know is, I have a lot of friends who are attracted to someone of their own gender, and I don't really see what's... wrong with that. There are enough 'normal' couples to produce all the babies that we can possibly take care of. We, as Indians would know that ;-) Besides, how much of an intrusion of privacy it is to tell a person who he gets to 'go out with' is also a question that needs to be asked. But as I said, I'm not a staunch gay activist or anything... I'm just a friend who wants the world to leave her best friend the hell alone- to his own decisions, and accept him for who he is. Is that too much to ask? Thanks for dropping by! I hadn't even realised I reached 25, until you told me ;) Love, AruRead More

Thakurman, haha- I was expecting this question like much earlier, and was wondering why no one asked it! :D Cheers!

Ramya, Whatever it was that brought you here, I sure am glad you did come! And you're right... it doesn't come with age, but with experience :) Thanks for the gracious comment! Love, Aru

Sudipto, You are right! I definitely had a crush on Peter!! I wasn't trying to hide it or anything... It's just that that moment brought along so many questions- I wasn't so sure what the anger was directed towards... But he was too sweet to be angry at for long... :) No offence taken! Than...k you so much for visiting! Love, AruRead More

Tanmay, Point taken. I realise exactly what you mean by the wrd 'straight' being offensive. I shall definitely keep that in mind henceforth... And I did not quite know what the law said about homosexuals in this land. But after reading you comment, I feel even more strongly about it! If the hi...ghest powers treat homosexuality as 'wrong', what would one expect from the general public?! Quite sad, really! Thank you so much for gracing the comments section! Do keep dropping by... thakurman, First of all, thanks for the trust- it definitely counts! And it takes a lotta guts to come out of the closet. Especially in a country like ours where the public reactions would be almost predictable! The attitudes need to change 'forreal' (to use my friend's favourite phrase!).. :)... Thanks for dropping by! Rohit, ’’All good men are either taken or are gay’’ haha... I like that. It's so true too! ;) And yeah, I guess my friend really was the safest bet for me in high school- and add to that fact that he was damn sweet- its quite an invincible combination ;) Thanks for dropping by! Glad you lik...ed the writeup... :) Love, AruRead More

Lps, Yeah. A lot of my homosexual friends' families do not know about their truths- because a lot of them are homophobic. It is very sad that while a whole section of society is ready to accept them, their families don't... Thank you for dropping by! Love, Aru

Alok and Smita, I'm glad I've written something that has opened up a whole big debate. As I already said, you cannot blame bad experiences with a particular person on their sexual preference, or gender, or religion. Calling all gay men flirtatious or un-manly or abnormal, is making as fundamen...tal a mistake as calling all Muslims terrorists. That's all I have to say about that. Cheers! PS: I've always not been one to debate my point too much. If my writeup is not good enough to convince people of what I'm saying, I doubt anything else I say will. So I will stay out of this debate for now... No offence! PPS: Smita, I don't mind the kushti at all- don't worry! ;)Read More

Alak_Ranjan, How can you stereotype the entire gay community with one experience? And if I, as a girl, was giving a guy a ride who was making awkward advances at me, I'd throw him out of the car too... I don't think it has to do with being gay... But thank you for dropping by, and taking time ...to comment! Love, Aru PS: I think being gay is a preference. It is as cool as being straight. I don't think people would say they are gay to show that they're 'cool'.Read More

Smita, I felt quite dumb for reacting the way I did when I did, but now I'm realising it was probably normal... :D Thanks for dropping by! I'm glad you liked it... Love, Aru

Shanti, You're so right! Why can't we just let people be? Thank you for dropping by... I'll treasure the comment- especially since it comes from a writer I myself admire a lot. Love, Aru

Nagaraj, Thank you for your gracious comments... but I disagree with you on a few things: 1. Homosexuals are not self-defeaters. In fact, they are comfortable with their own selves, a sign of supreme self-confidence. 2. They do not lack manliness in any way. In fact, they can be some of the... most well-behaved and chivilrous people. 3. Being around homosexuals does not make a lot of people 'awkward'. Like I said in the review, I didn't know for six months that my best friend was gay... that should prove something (other than the fact that I'm thick-skinned!)! Thanks again, no offence! Seera, You're so right! These are issues that surround us, but yet we choose to be oblivious. Maybe if this had never happened with me first hand, my impression of homosexuals would have remained as it was... I wonder how many other such things I'm completely oblivious to right now... Thank yo...u for dropping by! Love, AruRead More

Sarvesh, You're right. Homosexuality is so widely embraced in the US. But yet, there are so many problems they face there too... It's quite sad. I don't know how long it's gonna take people to realise that homosexuals are every bit as 'normal' as anybody else- and it's not like you're gonna be ab...le to tell them apart in a crowd (in most cases!)... But yet there are the Boy Scouts and such that would chuck a guy out just for being gay! Thanks for dropping by! Love, AruRead More
