Lets see - where to begin - Afterlistening to all the hype, my wife made me sit through this monstrosity yesterday. The only consolation is that she hated it more than I did. Perhaps 'hate' is too strong a word, a better one could be 'deeply disappointed'. Spoilers below, so stop reading here...Read more

Yet another copy of a Hollywood flick, except this time it is two movies : "House of Games" (contribution about 70%) and "Matchstick Men" (about 20%). The remaining 10% too must have been a copy from some movie that I have not seen yet. You know how in old Xerox machines when you made copies ...Read more

This movie confirms what I already knew about Bollywood movie writers. That they don’t have a creative bone in their body. Why do we Indians insist on aping Hollywood to an extent that even the not-so-good movies of there have to be copied-exact? Read the synopsis of a Hollywood movie belo...Read more

I missed him in my review. My bad. Infact my comment to my wife was that the acting of every supporting character was above par.

Patch Adams attempted to be a preachy rightous lecture on the medical profession and failed (IMHO). MunnaBhai... started out as a light-hearted comedy and passed with flying colors (again IMHO). What do you mean by 'Watch Good Will Hunting' ? I don't think it was billed as a light-hearted come...dy either. Once again it can not be compared with MBMBBS.Read More

Finally, a movie that actually improved on the Hollywood original. I have seen Patch Adams and found it a bit too sappy for my taste. The second half in particular was quite hard to sit through. This adaptation (call it loose copy), actually cuts out on most (if not all) of the sappiness. ...Read more

Finally saw this movie after being recommended by a number of friends. I have not seen Dragonfly so it was my true first viewing of the movie :-) Since I live in the US and do not watch cable TV, I had not seen any promos of the movie, so I pretty much went in uninitiated. To be very honest, ...Read more

I don't know what to say. I sure would like to get the same stuff that you were smoking when you saw this movie. I think the movie sucked big time. All the so-called 'comedy' might have seemed funny when I was 11 years old. Unfortunately I am well past that age group. Anyway, that's just a dif...ference of opinion between us. Nothing wrong in that. Read More

Guys, Give these people a break. Let the law take its course (that would be the LAW OF UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCES). If you watch this movie after a 6-pack and with a group of equally inebriated friends then you may get some good laughs out of it. One example : Play the game of finding the non...Read more

What a load of crap. I was trying to decide which character was more annoying than the other but I had to keep changing the winner because each kept outdoing the other. Plot : I will not reveal the plot. However in my opinion it was extremly weak. All characters are linear with absolutely no ...Read more
