I too have experienced rear seat rattling noise. The maruti guy came home and hammered the rear seat joint, to no avail. On top of that there is a faint rattling noise from the seat belt holder. Firstly you begin your review by comparing Getz GLS with Swift Vxi. So you are comparing a 4 lakh rupee car with a 5 lakh rupee car. This itself is biased. A fair comparison would be between Swift Zxi and Getz GLS. Secondaly what makes you feel that a dusty Getz will look good as opposed to a dusty ...Swift. Is there any logic behind your assumption? Your review is so biased, you write 5 paragraphs on how bad Swift is, followed by some paragraphs on how great Getz is. Swift has more internal space than Esteem. It is wider than even Honda City. It has even more space than Getz for passengers in front. The boot is as cramped as Zen. But to compare its space with Santro or Zen is a farce. Owning both Swift and Santro, I know that Swift has 1.5 times more room than Santro. Below is an unbiased comparison between Swift Zxi and Getz GLS.
Getz GLS:
Pros:
+Good Interiors (Dashboard and Side Trims)
+Smooth Ride.
+Low end torque.
+Boot Space
+Utility Space
Cons:
-No Alloys even in GLS
-FE around 9-11 kmpl

When I booked my Swift on 1st June, I was informed of an intended price hike in near future. I was also informed that I will get the car at the price of the time of delivery. However this is not correct. I got the car at the price at which it was booked and not the hiked price. You can contact marut...i directly to verify this. I also got the interest on my money at the delivery of the car. My car was delivered in 4 weeks, its red. Had I chosen a less popular color other than silver and red I would have got this even before. In Delhi the waiting time for new cars at DD Motors is 2 months.Read More

i booked my red swift vxi on 1 st june and got it delivered on 6th july. i could have got the gray and the silver by 26 june itself. i think it would be very unfortunate for u to switch to sail which has outdated looks out of anger. be wise and wait. the fruit of pateince is sweet. i am loving my sw...ift and u cant just help noticing ppl stare at u.Read More

Got my Vxi delivered. Upgraded the tyres to 185/70/14 with Bridgestone Potenza GIII and alloys. This total change cost about 24k and is worth it. Potenza GIII currently is the best and the most grippy tyre available in the market for people who drive on highways. I regret not having the budget for Z...xi or Vxi with ABS, but I guess the tyre upgrade will do for now. The car is red in color and I just have ppl looking at my car all the time :dRead More

Thanks to Swift Safey both you and the man are still alive. Rest you can claim from the insurance. Please dont drive over 90kmh on the highways, this is still India.

The FE of 8 is totally false. I have a Swift Vxi and getting 10.5 in City with 100% AC and 14 on highway. I find it hard to believe that the car is giving 8, as I know for sure that Esteem gives 12 kmpl. So since Swift is a 100kg heavier, this would mean, that if I take an extra passenger in Esteem ...the cars average should drop to 8??? Please dont be guided by rumors started by Hyundai about this car. Stick to facts. And if you booked the swift, you made a GREAT CHOICE!!!Read More

Since you always like to talk about America, than I am pretty upset why you took the remark of me calling you janitor personally as Americans believe in Equality of labor. But than again, you aint American, you just a WANNABE. Although Getz is mostly used by low income group in US, my comment was no...t for you to take personally. Adnan, here are some faults of your janitor looking (personal opinion) car in my view.
***The C pillar in the car doesnt let you see the road while turning.
***The Feul economy is 9.5 in city driving conditions
***You dont get ABS and Alloys as standard even in GLS
***Only 8000 cars have been so...ld so far compared to 25000 bookings of swift
***Your engine is better as per you, but it has only 82 bhp and runs out of steam at 120 kmph
***It has fools like you driving it all over the world

Hi Adnan, I saw you writing a comment on my review on how bad the swift is, and that you prefer better interiors over security. Now I know why, just cause you own a Getz doesnt mean you begin to bad mouth another car. Be a little bit mature in your approach towards life.

To compare a trash like Zing with Swift is totally biased on Hyundai's part. Do they think people are blind? Do they not know that even if the current engine in Swift is not the same European Engine, this Engine is still far more better than 1100 cc Santro Engine which has a meagre 60 bhp???

I think its impossible to expect 14/15 with AC in City. Since Swift inherits a highly modified Esteem Engine and is 100 kg heavier, thus to expect more than 10-12 in City with AC is unrealistic. Apart from that, a great review. I agree with most of what you have to say, looking forward to seeing mor...e swifts on the road. I am not so excited about the 1.5 engine option as that might make the swift overpriced compared to how its priced now. Given our daily driving confitions I think the 1.3 ltr engine would do the job.Read More

I dont want to create a fight here over our differing opinions. However I feel that safety for me is a priority over comfort. In Europe, the Hyundai Santro (Atos) comes with Airbags as standard, and I think its about time that Indian companies treat and respect the life of Indians equally.
