In a time, where the all the commoners are sick of standing in long queues and waiting for their turn to come, it might just turn out to be a welcoming move.
Reliance JIO has launched a program to deliver SIM cards directly to the customers home. The program is in beta phase at the moment and has been commenced only in some selected cities. the rollout of the program has been staged, meaning it will be made available over the next few days across the country
While the users can't sign up for home delivery directly, JIO is approaching them through various mediums asking the users if they would like to try the JIO SIM. The home delivery can be scheduled by the users at their doorstep.
"This is a new way to reach out to the consumers who don't have a JIO SIM. We will be approaching more savvy customers at first for this program. The company is working on making the delivery efficient and super fast as well," a source told Huffpost India.
As of now the home delivery program has been rolled out in Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Kolkata, Chennai, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Ahmedabad.
Other than this, JIO is also providing doorstep delivery of SIMs for group housing arrangements where a society-in-charge can register on the JIO website and the SIMs will be delivered to their premises
