It was just her past

I have noticed Natasha as late comer girl from the very first day of Graduation College. It was because She attended the lecture in rare case, and on those days when she used to come for lecture, she used to be late by some 10 or 15 mins. In few incident, teachers didn't give her permission to enter which she used to accept happily and go back. College life for her was for enjoyment and her aim was just to pass. After all She was in biggest campus of Mumbai with beautiful gardens and she was not the only one who use to enjoy it. There were many others in that crowd where she was just one of them..

For somebody like me who always reached college before 10 mins of starting the class and preferred to stay in second bench of class (First bench in our class was left vacant by all to avoid dust from black board and it used to be place for late comers), I was hardly bothered about the back benches activities. But because of her late coming activities, weird reaction during teacher's question and her distinguished fair complexion, I could easily differentiate her among the crowd of class. She knew me as 'one of the regular students, NSS volunteers' and she presumed me as 'scholars.' So before the exam time she used to take maximum help from me regarding what to study and what to not. She somehow managed to pass in two subjects but failed in third subject. She made the thing worse by not giving the practical exam of third subject and late submitting of FC project forcing her to take a drop. She failed in first year exam this means she has to sit in home and clear her subjects. She was still ok with what has gone through her.

The another year where she was supposed to clear her exam, she gave exam of none of them though she had paid re-examination fees. So another year went passed by!

It took some more months to self-realize her carelessness. She began asking me how she can take her studies forward. As Mumbai University had changed to Grading system from 2011-2012, I suggested her to take fresh admission in first year. But her parents were not allowing for the same as they fear she might repeat the similar earlier activities. She was asked to do self study in home and clear her back-papers. She somehow managed to clear FC, but couldn't clear 3rd Subject as she never had attended any of its class.

In the academic year 2012-13, she got admission for second year (as maximum one subject is allowed as KT). As she had promised me to be regular in her studies, she did it so. She started reaching college in proper time, attending every lecturers and studying hard. I could see new Natasha in her who is with her aim and dedicated with all her heart from them. To get her back-paper issues solved, I asked her to talk with teachers of that department. Teachers had very bad impression on her since first year and they kept judging her from the same instances without knowing how this girl is doing presently..

She needed help with her studies to pass it, but the only questions teacher kept asking them was "why you neglected your studies in first year?, Do you remember how many practical claasses you had attended?, You are a very careless girl and so on...." Everytime she used to visit them, she got the similar reply without trying to know she has really changed. Time has changed, She got changed but the impression people had on her, they could never change. Being helpless, she used to share the same saying wishing I was still in Mumbai and I could help her.

The above sharing is a real incident other than the changed name. But the situation of Natasha is not the only one. We find many students who used to be careless and casual during their past, but now are the changed one. On those time where they want to step in new stage of life, there are people who not only reminds her past but keeps asking about the past. Not only in academics, even in our society too. Of course, mistake was done, but why keep judging a person by their one past again and again?

If they want one more chance, it can be given. After all that was just a past.........

And if God himself has forgiven all our Past, who are us to judge other because of their past?

Friends, If a goon of yesterday can be wise man of today, why not to look people around us from new perception when they have made an effort to overcome their nightmares?

Think, But do not Judge!!!
