Hyderabadi Haleem...

By: Pepper_power6 | Posted Jul 31, 2013 | Mobile | 435 Views | (Updated Jul 31, 2013 11:29 PM)

I eagerly wait for Ramadaan just like my muslim friends. But with a slight difference. They wait to celebrate the festival and I wait to eat the haleem...

I totally appreciate each and every person who fasts the entire holy month. It requires a great will power. I would never be able to fast that way. Whenever I get bores, I eat. When I have nothing to do, I eat... So basically I am a total foodie and I eat all the timeee. And it would be very difficult for me to fast. Where people like me cannot stay a few hours without eating, thousands of people fast throughout the day without even consuming a sip of water. Hats off to you guys.

And during Ramzan, my most favourite dish haleem will be served around the city. Haleem in a plastic box, covered with fried onions and ghee... Yummyyy. I bet you can never get the delicious haleem anywhere except hyderabad. I feel pity for non-Hyderabadis :P. No offence to any of my friends but I always wish that the holy month could last longer.

Some places serve haleem during the entire year, but its taste during the festive season is totally different.

Sadly, only nine more days left. I should eat as much as possible in this nine days....:D

or may be I could learn how to cook haleem at home. That would be better, instead of craving for it the entire year. I hope that the process of cooking is easy, I have to google it now...

Any suggestions or recipes please comment !!
