and if i am correct, coralhub.com offers the same book at a much lower price .. Rs. 402 inclusive of shipping check at http://www.coralhub.com/MOMENTS-RONALDO-CRISTI/4848148... almost half the price paid...

Thanks for bringing the site to my attention.
btw, if you would have searched on flipkart or a1books, you would have found the book. So factually incorrect that the book was not on any other website. Just that the prices over there are higher.

some things one should always do. might seem like gyaan but still
1. check the benefit illustrations and terms and conditons... these are just 2-3 pages and not a difficult task to do while investing "hard earned money".
2. nothing against agents, but the fact is that ULIPs etc are misso...ld in the market to a high degree.
3. i hope you have a copy of all the documents you have provided / signed. Do go to insurance ombudsman and let them take care of this.Read More

Agree with you on VD thing....It is generally better to have a VD of 2500, basis that we should not claim for anything less than 2500 (it has the potential to nullify the NCB that we get next year, and more so in the coming years). it is always beneficial to have a Bonus of 20,25,40,50 ...etc rather than 20,0,20,25 ...etc...

just a few thoughts over this...
1. Any good agent would definitely ask for RC / old policy. It is an ISSUE if these docs are not asked for. In fact, there have been several instances with my friends, where in they were not asked for RC (no dou...bt the agent took the premium in cash and disappeared).
2. Voluntary Deduction - I have been a victim of the VD thing in the past. For my brand new hyundai accent last year, my agent said that he will give a premium less than normal ones (due to relationships !). Later I came to know that he has reduced the premium by introducing the VD to some 5K ! I blasted the insurance company that I had never asked for VD (my agent had without my knowledge). I believe, this is just to counter such cases that they might be taking the VD signed etc.
You can make it clear here, is signing the document an issue, or not telling you beforehand the issue. As I see it, signing the document is good, there is prrof at your end and theirs as well. They would do good, by telling beforehand what, why and when is something required.
BTW, do update on juhi.juhi's query. Would be interesting to see how services are effected to you !

you may try bookmyshow.com (doesnt show PVR though).. pvrcinemas.com is the best bet if you have a PVR near you ..

A bit on customer service - been trying to get in touch with Airtel guys to purchase internet connection in Ggn. Amazingly they say we DONOT provide services in gurgaon... No wonder if they treat prospective customers like this, how they would treat their existing ones...

Accent is indeed silent...not noisy at all..you could try test drive again (probablya t a different dealer).
In addition the purchase price is not 592000 as quoted. Should be 4.99 + whatever other factors...
