Sounds like an interesting book; I will try that after I finish my current read, 'Half of a Yellow Sun'. Nice review, very interesting.

You should have tried out the Verna. Especially the CRDi SX, if you like diesel engines. I own one and it's simply awesome! I am yet to write an article on it but am waiting for a few month to make sure that my feeling is unbiased.

*A Thousand Splendid Suns (TSS) follows the much-acclaimed Kite Runner (KR) from Khaled Hosseini (KH). The almost autobiographical narration of KR pulls your emotional cords like never before. The book made me guilty of childhood meanness meted out to lesser fortunate of the group, then. Growing...Read more

I hate to say this, but this is the saddest video report I have seen so far. Need to work on the presentation, voice modulation and pretty much everything. The transitions are Ok; but the video is shaky and blurred at times. The attempt to shoot yourself must have been more confident rather than a... sneak peek ;) RaviRead More

Nice frank review, here. I saw the movie in a different perspective and got something different. However, you are bang on on the part about the movie concentrating more on the people around Mithi and not on her. Well, I guess, Aparna Sen perhaps wanted to capture that?! Overall, your review cuts th...rough the clutter and gave me a new angle to it. Thank you! RaviRead More

Thanks for the update. People often forget writing about the one factor most Indians are concerned about - mileage - that comes a close second to the pricing. Good review. Wish there was more about it's handling on road, stability and also, suspension. Ravi

Most things are fine; but they force you to buy snacks and drink inside their premises. This is flouting MRTPC act. They can't force customers to buy food from their outlets. In case you have some food with you, you're required to deposit it with the security! They check you as though you're ...Read more

It looks like for all cars sold in India, manufacturers are sucking blood of the Indian customer. The same car costs $25000 in India. I don't understand why this difference exists and think it's rather unfair. Ravi

You guys should know better than to buy junk like Philips. Further, when you can get better systems like Sony, why go for systems that just amplify sound? If you are a serious music listener and don't want to invest in a rack-system with tower speakers, you should choose a mini Hi-fi component syst...em from either Sony or Kenwood. My suggestion is a Sony. RaviRead More

You must have known about Philips' inability to put tested & good products on the market place. They have been consistently failing to deliver on their electronics. I would be surprised if they will survive in the next decade.
