Gosh! I went to that link you've mentioned an the behaviour of Times of India is unbelievably crass. Not that I'm surprised. I was working in advertising for around three years and had to deal extensively with Times of India, New Delhi. Never have I seen a more arrogant bunch of people. If the reade...rs knew what kind of organisation was behind this newspaper, many of them would cancel their subscriptions. I did.Read More

An excellent review! You have really focussed on every aspect of the album. Great job, my friend! I bought this cassette in January and I am still listening to it regularly. In fact, I can't imagine starting Sunday mornings without this. Vikram PS: Like many of you, I too am looking for a C...D. Help!Read More

Dear Sarvesh, That was a very good review, quite 'kewl' as Anusha said. I am writing to you with a very selfish motive, sir. When you get that CD, can you write a copy for me. I will collect it from wherever. Yes, I know this is 'piracy' but I don't really feel guilty since the music company is for...cing me to resort to piracy. If they made the damn CD available, I would definitely buy it. You know what I mean. Lastly, while I am also a Barson Huey (the song) fan like everyone else, I think we are missing out on the brilliance of a little-talked-about song called Sapno Kaa Ik Shahar. Deepika talks about three parameters - lyrics, melody and music. Well this songs gets Gold for every one of these three parameters. Also, in this ga-ga over Barson Huey thing, a lot of people are missing an underplayed piece called Palkon Pe Tha which is the true gem in the album. Flying Castle has rated these two songs as Critic's Choice items, but these are not limited to critics. These are the REAL hits.Read More

Yahoo! This is one hell of a portal. It's been around for years, has been consistent with the quality of its services, and really knows the right way to create an engaging Web experience. I am a regular Yahoo! user. I use their email service, I read a lot of news on the portal (especially Music ...Read more

Those who have been reading the music reviews that I write will probably notice that this album certainly doesn't represent the stuff that I usually listen to and write about. They are absolutely right. Here's what happened. I share my room - and my music system - with my younger brother. Since ...Read more

This was Adnan Sami's debut album — and till date, I would rate it as his best. Two tracks in particular, Bheegi Bheegi Raaton Main and Kabhi Tho Nazar Milaao are unmatched for their brilliant compositions, arrangements and instrumentation (yes, I know a lot of that consisted of programmed...Read more

This book has been reviewed so many times that I won't state the same old things all over again. What I wish to focus on are the key lessons that the book contains for writers seeking guidelines on how to write a bestseller. Lesson One Use a limited number of characters so that you can fle...Read more

What a start to a solo career! The Dream Of The Blue Turtles (TDBT) was Sting's first venture as a solo artiste after The Police disbanded. Till date, despite brilliant albums like Soul Cages and Ten Summoners' Tales, many of his fans (and that includes me) rate TDBT as his best album ever. And ...Read more

Considering whose shadow he is stepping out of, Julian Lennon certainly comes out with flying colours.
