FE, The movie was dark because Amitabh could not forgive RGV for not including Jaya.... So while Abhi had ass... Amit did not.... Why should he allow it and so his grumbling blog avatar took over Regards, WD P.S: Mazaa Aaya Film me but enjoyed your review actually

It was a review worth the film.... after a very long time, I decided to watch a SRK film in theatre and I should say he impressed me.... Wish he would do more of this stuff.. and go at least the Dilip Kumar / Aamir Khan way rather than the Amitabh Bachchan way. I have read the book 'Freedom at midnight' and I carry of the book with me.. If ever God gives me strength, I will definitely make it into a movie...... I have read many books on the partition.... it pains me.. but I can do nothing about it.... Gandhi and Jinnah and Nehru and Patel and Mountba...tten and Tarachand and Hegdewar .... all of the mwere correct.. but so were the women who were raped, old men who were ruthlessly murdered, sick men who were mutilated, the living who were torched and it was all the poor who bore it all.... Even today it's always the poor who suffer while the rich cool themselves in Simla and other cool environs.... In the name of Religion, God was burnt and his religions and dictates raped and murdered.... his house was defuiled by those who talk about religion.... Thanks for writing on this movie.... I never thought anyone would write on it.... I saw it in my street play days.. Even then people were unable to understand the symbolism...... it's the cine goers fault that good movies like this one go unnoticed. Regards, WD

Rahul, I agree with you that the site has been used by some nefarious people for a lot od underground activities but do you recommend that we treat the symptoms and not the disease.... It's not as if orkut was responsible for all this stuff, there are similar communities in Yahoo Groups, Googl...e Groups and other places as well.... The days of moral policing is over.. if people want to do it.. they will do it.... and they will definitely not bother about sites... Unlike many other people who would consider this film as trash, I have always loved this film.. I have always been a great fan of the Mahabharata do much that I have literally read up all the different treatises on the great epic... undoubtedly the greatest story ever told... I liked Dalapathy....... (or Thalapathy) as you call it.... but it was way back in the early 90s that I saw this movie so a lot of it has been missed. There is a fine line that distinguishes an artist from a businessman .. and this is what differentiates the lens of a professional and the lens of the amateur.. it's called art.... When art starts coming out of a studio like soap from a factory, it's the end of the artist.. Crass commercialism co...uld not save all-time greats... RGV is still no one... A scathing criticism from someone who has always appreciated him for whatever he stands for.... It's sad... RGV could have been.... if only he could have been able to resist the Final Temptation. An excellent review out there..... but I would say the western portrayal of Eastern and African despots sometimes ends up looking comical.. although I am no fan of either Idi or Hitler, still I would like to see the characters as they were in a film that's unbiased as well as true....
