Cinemax opened up in Hyderabad recently. TGKF had a good sound to it and we decided to check it out. Our first surprise was that there is no ala-carte and its Rs 675 per person for the meal. It seemed to be on the higher side but then we were already seated and had ordered our drinks so decided to continue. The course consists of...Read more

'Spares were a little hard to come by' is the understatement of the century! My visor is still not available after one year! Now that TATA has taken over my advice is for people to not buy Palio for a year atleast till TATA gets things in place. In Hyderabad, TATA owners themselves are having a ...tough time because there are only 3 dealers and each service center is choked with cars giving them no time to personalized service. Palio owners will only have it tougher in such a scenario. I have not yet gone to the new TATA service centers but am dreading the prospect and planning to sell my car before that. The car is now almost 6 years old and shows its age not so well!Read More

My issue with Fiat Palio is mainly with the spares and not with the car per se. The car is excellent and I have thoroughly enjoyed the 4 1/2 years I have had the car. But then I havent had any other car so cant comment whether others are bad. I have heard my friends, owning Santros and Wagon Rs bein...g thoroughly satisfied with their cars! Coming to the issue of spares, I have had several other problems, with my door lock, wiper motor, sun visor, A/c ducts etc. In only a few cases the parts were available immediately. In the case of the wiper, one of the wipers broke (possibly while cleaning). For this I had to replace the wiper motor! (not just the wiper). I had to wait a good 6 months for the spares and also pay more than 3500 for the motor. In the case of the door lock I discovered it wasnt covered by insurance and that it would cost 5000/- for one door. I decided to not have it replaced than pay such exorbitant prices. The good thing is that it was also not available even if I wanted to buy it :) Based on this experience I feel people would be better off buying a car for which spares are cheaper and more easily available (you dont know when you may have problems!)
