I have a Fiat palio petrol which is now 4 1/2 yrs old and has done 76,000 km. Its good car and has given great service over the past years. The issues with the car itself are few -
The top paint tends to fade over the years
The clutch also gets harder.
The main issues are with spares and service. There is a severe shortage of spares and the spares are also very expensive. Add to that the poor quality of the spares and you have Maruti's dream competitor!
My sun visor on the driver's side had to be replaces 4 times this year as it kept breaking when I was using it. Right now I dont have one as there are no spares! (Sun visor's have become precious commodities.
Next is my muffler which I had replaced 1 year back. After 3 1/2 years it was no great surprise that I had to replace it. The bigger shock was that now the muffler is gone again. After spending 5,500/-, I have to shell out another 5500/-. Adding insult to injury, the service dealer took the car to fix this plus other issues and handed back the car which which initially had a murmer (when I refused to replace the muffler so soon), with a sound worse than a truck. His explanation was that the muffler is not in warranty and it can go bad anytime. This was a big shock and even more so as I was not in town and had given it to someone else to get it repaired. Now am at a loss on what to do. Ideally I would like to file a complaint against Anuroop but have no idea how to go about it.
