I agree with some of the things you said.
I don't know about stats so I can't say if Indians or foreigners bring more tourism revenue to Goa.
But I do know that every tourist should be made to feel welcome, no matter where they're from.
If it's a matter of Indians troubling foreigners, wel...l, that's what happens in Goa. The foreigners are mostly O.K, but Indian tourists can be real pests.
But this doesn't mean we can kick them out altogether.
I know that Goan locals may feel protective about foreign tourists and it can sometimes lead to racism. We all know about parties where Indians pay an entry fee and foreigners get in free.
This is just one instance of Goans practicing racism to maintain a friendly atmosphere for foreigners. And who knows what would happen if they didn't do something like that. Have you ever been to a dance where Indians outnumber foreigners. A group of rowdy Indian men will automatically encircle a foreign girl, victimising her.
The problem I have is this. Is it O.K to practise racism to keep the tourist air alive and generalise all Indian tourists as creeps. No, it's not. So what's the alternative? Ask foreigners to get used to leering Indian tourists.
If anyone has an answer I'd like to hear it.

I think you have to be an American to enjoy this film. I say that because it deals with a topic like finding yourself and yet didn't appeal to me very much but the viewers at IMDB really seem to love it. To be perfectly honest, I found it a bit boring.
Okay, it's about a little family that li...Read more

The Bridge Of San Luis Rey was originally a novel by Thornton Wilder. The director who transformed it into a movie really did a good job cos the movie does leave you reeling.
The movie starts of in an town in Lima with a priest (Gabriel Byrne) facing the inquisition. His interrogator, an Arch...Read more

Hey DryIce,
I have a request. Being a nature and wildlife lover myself, I was wondering if you would'nt mind me accompanying you on your next trip to the park. I've been there myself a couple of times on treks and visits but have only gone upto the lake. I would love to explore the interiors a litt...le closer(with my camera as well of course).
Contact me on the M2M feature.

Really cool documentaries. They actually make you think about the stuff that's going on around us. You should check them out yourself.

If I'm not mistaken I think you've written a review about state of fear yourself.
I would like to draw the other readers attention to one section of your review i.e when you question Crichtons inclusion of a sociology proffessors rant towards the end of the book. I agree with... you completely. It did seem a bit irrelevant and that's one of the few questions I'd like to put to Michael Crighton.

Leah, you first wrote your article over a year ago. And people are still writing in! Amazing!
You got so many people to express their views. That's an achievement. All I want to say is I do'nt see any justification in the war even today. Innocent people are dying everyday. As a christian, I do'nt... think violence is an option I could ever consider, even if it is a means to an end. There were other options

Well nishanu, I don't really watch Hindi movies a lot(In fact I don't really watch them at all)
I have of course seen clips of most of the films mentioned above on T.V but I've not been interested enough to watch the complete movies.
I guess I find english movies more captivating :)
Anyway, cheer...s for now,
