Sir,...please do not Treat it THE INDIAN WAY....am a sony vaio VGN CR 363 user....same problem is with mine...actually i never mind this as i thought it was my hard disk's fault ,and for the past 1 year i was using it ..some wht the indian way. as you said the service center guys may tell us to chan...ge the mother board even if we approach them,so i thought to fix it myself and went through online and found that its the CAPACITOR Failure....The problem of spontaneous hibernation has now been determined to be the result of a set of failing capacitors. as you said about the battery,there is a power management software .if you use the software it will reduce the screen resolution to a half,32 bit of displayt will be changed to 16 bit ,hard disk RPM will be changed to a lower,buss transfer will be slow.. this all gives it a lower power usage and w...ill make the battery stand for 4 hrs for watching a movie. but when u put XP,u have to use power management aplication.if else it will give you only 3 hrs of battery. well i have a good battery back up for sony vaio VGN CR 363 B/ Read More
