I am joel. I am doing my B.E comp engg. Well I bought this lap on last sep 2008. I was in a hurry to do my project in linux. So I need a system that was simple, light weight, and branded. I went for vaio. I got it...fully pre loaded. I made back up, and I had to install linux. When I installed linux, all file system got interupted and I was really put in trouble. I had to get in service centre.they reloaded it and gave me.
For a practical guy who want to learn something ..really sony vaio is a waste."it can be used for watching movies (with fine DVD)...this uncles could use ...those who uses it for MS 2007, and small small can use.
All this problems is due to g VISTA..non compactability of vista makes us to use linux. Or old xp's.
Really sony vaio never supports your wishes...think before you buy it

1.those who are using it for windows office work..like typing...documenting etc..good
2.for those who want branded
3.for those who want light weight.(i compard it to many, no com with same rate , same weight)
4.those who want to watch movie for 4hrs in batt.
5.EXPERTS IN OS CAN SPECIALLY USE THIS
