@ Nitin , next time you are going to take the vehicle out on a longer drive put a half a pint of 2t oil in the extramile diesel and run her at high RPM for some time. This shall clear out her innards. Also have the catcon and the silencer cleaned up manually. A higher flow air filter shall also help... . the 2 strokeoil shall lubricate the FIP and also clean up the top engine area some. You 'll immediately notice the difference in sound and smoothness after this.Read More

@Nitin, 1) Have the FIP recalibrated or diesel supply retuned for better pickup since your use is so low to warrant attention on the economy front. Change your air filter and have the inlet pipes checked for chokeup. Have the nozzles cleaned up once manually and after that use some injector cleaner ...as fuel additive like 1) Addon from IOC 2) IFTEX system D 3) STP injector cleaner which is a one time use. Any diesel vehicle which is run as little as yours is is goona have a jammed fuel injection pump and clogged nozzles. Follow the instructions and she 'll sort out to a great extent. regards, kedarRead More

@vinapanse ! i sold the car way back in early 2007. Have a turbo Indigo & a Petrol accent retrofitted to LPG. i ought to delete the review which was last updated more than 3 yrs ago. In any case , the lowered throttle response , sluggishness has nothing to do with something as drastic as engine se...izure / scratched pistons. Many other small causes contribute. anyway i may write another review on stalling in B2B conditions. :)Read More

I ...'ve bought them at following rates 1) Motor Flush - rs.175/- 2) Oil addivitve - Rs.185/- 3) Radiator Flush - rs. 175/- 4) Fuel line additve - rs.165/-Read More

Hi, I own a accent which i have retrofitted to LPG , I am contemplating buying the xeta LPG. its available with grand discounts, it also seems to have a advanced LPG kit - a closed loop type with LAMBDA with separate ECU for LPG . Your review is disturbing as you are obviously disappointed wit...h your experience. But bddy , you have to elaborate on what exactly is wrong with your car to remain with the dealer ? Is it technical problem or a finance related one. Please explain to make the reader or prospective buyer understand it better. Just bad mouthing the company / dealer / product does not constitute a review. Please write about pros and cons or atleast all the cons in your case :) regrdsRead More

Hi Rahul, Sorry it did not work for you. I may be totally off the mark but i believe that conversion does not work very well with cars from certain manufacturers Tata being one of 'em. Other notable ones are GM , Ford. Besides just as a possibility, the ecu may not have conked out because of ...the retrofitting per say. And you dont have to buy everything that the Tata guy & the retrofitter tells you. They all have their own agendas and all look for ways to avoid owning up their responsibility. As far as i know , since the matter is subjudice , they should not have taken the cheque , specially in a situation where they have not kept any of their commitments. They have taken cash for a so called balcony , not given any recpt for the full area and not ven provided a railing for the balcony. ... We are fortunate that we 've not gone to stay there and have alternate place. Brother i hope they clear out the forest matter with a resolution / penalty in the favor of the end user ( us ) and enforce most punitive measures against both the builder and the municipal officials who have overlooked the land status before giving commencement cert. Then only some good 'll come out of this EXPERIENCE AND SOME HEALING FOR OUR TROUBLED SOULS ! Read More

@Methking, What you say is probly the exact scenario that i was envisioning in my worst nightmare. Only worst thing could be that you would not have gotten possession. The marketing staff is just too smartass for their own good. I have trouble keeping my temper in check when i am dealing wi...th them. I was to get possession almost a month back . When we actually went to take possession , i found that a few floor tiles 're broken. Some toilet tiles were actually missing. Most tile skirting chipped and leakage and salt efflorescence on the walls. Some pencil marks too. Basin not fitted... this despite umpteen number of reminders for QC checkup . ALMOST A MONTH WASTED in having this sorted aND NOW I HAD TO GIVE THEM A ' UNDATED CHQ. TOWARDS VAT 'Read More

Low and medium end I10 is costing the same as Indigo cs ? yeah . sure... But i10 is almost great value for money for its sheer refinement and performance. It has almost latest generation technology. And they have the ' drive ' to even plonk a new motor within 2 yrs. on a runaway success of a model. ... As against that TATA has been using practically the same motor for last ten years...sometimes IDI , SOME WITH TURBO with terrible lag, soem with turbo and intercooler...... :) How is that for value for money ?Read More

Congrats on your acquistiton. I too had an Indica which i sold rather prematurely. While Tata cant be faulted about economy , space and maybe even low running cost. ( I actually clocked 25.+ kmpl once without AC ) They lack finess or refinement is an understatement. To begin with they have ...these horribly underpowered motors and to make matters worse there is serious turbo lag. To keep this motor in drivable band takes some skill and unfortunately a lot of effort. The not the best position of pedals and a VERY high and badly aligned steering makes long drives tiring. Overtaking needs careful planning and the bad gear ratios mean the torque would suddenly fall even in second gear. Instead of constantly fiddling with a inherent design flaw they should have plonked a new motor in it. So basically a same motor doing duty in 3 various car segments with minor tweaking here and there is pathetic. Its value for money in a sense but can downright poor performance be pardoned ? Had a meeting with with Ms.Nihari of the Bhoomi Hills office today on 25th March 2008. She assured me that our project is no longer concerned with the private forest issue and all municipal formalities are underway. Whether we take her word for it is anybody's guess.... She also informed m...e that municipal water connection has been given to D,E,F,G wing of the 8 storey bldg. Since the project work got stayed for only 5 months , she was at a loss to give valid reason for the remaining 7 months delay. Anyway at this stage , i wonder what we can do to safe guard our interest ? Any suggestions welcome ...Read More

Hi Vinay , with reference to 'When i switch over to LPG, the performance dips a little (which is understandable and acceptable),'...... My experience is car actually runs better on lpg. There is no knocking .... the torque seems better... Maybe it'll help if you have your car shown to a go...od retrofitter in the area. and have a lambda system installed. There 'll be addition to the kit parts and so do not worry about any existing item going waste. at the most additional labour and the indicator switch if they shift to digital... it'll be worth it if your car is in good shape and you aim to keep it ....Read More

Hi Vinay, I know very little about the problem that you have reported. I think its an issue with the programme logic of the ECM. It may not affect the actual working of the vehicle.... But please have it checked at the manufacturer's service station ASAP. BTW have you installed a LAMBDA for ...the kit.I mean if there there is any sort of override or relay like an emulator which relays info to the the engineECM installed ? That also may be malfunctioning....Read More

@ Just shut up! Latest on bhoomi valley project! On inquiring today (12/03/08) about the status , the marketing exec. coolly told me to visit the site and check for myself if the state the project it is in is good enough for me to take possession. they are ready to give possession on full balance ...payment. Currently we 'll have to do only with bore well water and the municipal water 'll be available in ' a month or two '. The remaining site work 'll, be completed in 2/3 months and the swimming pool and club house 5/6 months. Then i sweetly ask her if the Occupation certificate shall be available 6 months after the pool is completed , she didnt take the bait. Saying that it'll take 5/6 months , from which date she didnt share..... I say thats wonderful news and thank her for her kindness in sharing this with me and hang up !!! So there we are..... no concrete commitment on completion date. If we take possession , we have to live with all the nuisance of a site under construction. We have to use the borewell water and risk being sick apart from the damages incurred to buy bottled mineral water. Security also could be an issue....The fine dust could cause allergy , asthmatic condition to kids Also we would have to clear the entire amount without the developer having fulfilled his contractual obligation. Then hope that he finishes the remaining work and legal formalities within reasonable time.... Though in a situation where he has already delayed the project by a whole year him needing any more time is quite pathetic. The anguish he has caused to so many like me and he still calls all the shots about possession date and completion of other things..... I hope people surfing ought to be wary in future of dealing with such developers if they do not wish to suffer our fate..... So please forward this to as many of your friends and relatives who are actively looking to buying a new house. Please dont get fooled by this one atleasRead More

Update on 3/01/08 --- The car is running well on Lpg . The price rise Rs.34.71 / lit is shocking. Just does not make good economy. Its supposed to come down though as we go forward to warmer climate.... Only problem i faced is that throttle body had to opened cleaned off carbon and the air inl...et solenoid needed servicing as it had jammed resulting in a slightly jerky ride on lpg and lowered Fe. Thats sorted out now. I must have saved quite a lot of money and that too at no drop in performance. Whether i made the correct decision to convert, i believe i did. I recommend it too. But in light of the recent accidents relating to the gas fitted cars....... pls evaluate the worthiness of ur vehicle before you do. And for gods sake do not depend on the retrofitter' to judge it. and may god be with you !Read More

' Deal with caution and extreme cynicism' is all I can say. Otherwise you shall be disappointed. Its kind of late in the day to realise this and one should be more careful before booking.
