How did u reach this conclusion? Its amazing to me that people are running away fron confronting the truth as it is. I have written widely about terrorism and the roles of muslims as construed by the world./ you just have to google search for my blogs. Ms. Ghose has some valid points which should... not be ignored. I had seen the same sentiments for Sikhs in the earlier part of the 80's ( even though i was a small kid then). Its just a matter of time when majority of the muslims would stand up against the whackos who hijacked their religion. And remember always Indian muslims are more mainstream than any other muslim anywhere.Read More

Dont forget its our grand Old sarkari bank which is competing with the big bad boys in the private banking sector. Give them a decade, they will improve, or else they would get privatised..no problem

Honda and Toyota cars have a worldwide reputation on reliablity. Suzukis have made their mark in small, compact , fuel efficent cars. Its a totally different category. American cars were made more for luxury. Korean ones try to give u a mix of everything. Its always good to buy a car for which... spare parts availability and proximity to a dealership is an easy affair. Other than that most cars in India have a maximum life of 10 years or so.Read More

Follow up to my earlier review on this subject, the show is getting more and more predictable and pathetic as weeks go by. It was a shame to see Javed Akhtar defending the ouster of girls one by one as a referundum on the socitey as a whole!!! If they had chosen talented girls, people would have s...urely voted the girls in. But when u get the kind of choices, what do u expect? Ankita, Smita, Richa one after the other....followed by Parleen, Chang, Amit paul...its one pathetic singer after the other. Add buffoon like Annu mallick and Alisha to the mix and you have perfect circus for the retards...Read More

I second the above opinions. You must immediately take the matter to the police. Its always handy to record these type of threatening phone calls as a proof. Im 100% sure the calls were made by a collection agency, which the bank might have 'contracted' the job to recover the money. Legally you ...are not liable to pay dues on a credit card which is issued to an individual in his own capacity. If the card was issued to ur firm then there might be problems which can untimately turned around in your favour. The employer is not legally bound to settle any financial dispute concerning the employee, unless the employer has signed on the dotted lines. Im anxious to find out what happened in your case. Do keep us informed...good luckRead More

Well Harry Potter is just another western fad...blindly followed by upper middle class Indian families....How else can u expect to buy a book close to 1000/- rupees.....!!!! in my school days ( about 11 yeasr ago) if i were to spend that much money on even my ' MBD Guides' i would have had to expla...in a lot...whats happening to us??...we have thousands of mythological stories which have its roots in our glorius heritage....'chandamama' is one of the real gems. Instead of making a fashion statement by holding a Harry Potter in your hand and foolishly bearing a grin towards press cameras.... try look up ur attic..maybe u will find a copy of chandamama or tinkle...share it with your kid..do ur child a favour..Read More

Satellite TV is still at its nascent stage in India. Wait for some more years before 100% digital and HD signals can be encrypted and distributed. My friend in delhi has one of these services. And after talking to him I figured out that its just analog signals using an analog outdated set top box.....!!! During my dubai days we would have a 16' dish on top of our apartments hooked up to 20-30 families. Everyone had their own 'Black boxes' something which is just like a set top box, but it can easily hack all premium channels. There are certain websites which publish the codes for premium channels and u just have to enter the codes using the remote and kaboom...!!! we never paid a penny for all those channels...that was almost 3 years ago...Im sure its being used in India too.Read More

Most of these crossover vehicles, a mix between a scooter and a motorbike, end up as serving the purpose of none..!!! Bajaj has a tradiition of such vehicles, starting with the M-80s..from the 1980's. That was a cool bike, so much so that it had a better pich-up than any other bikes available at t...hat time. Even the milege was good, and so was the handling. Low maintenace and low cost of ownership!! That set the standard...and Bajaj seems to haev lost it with the Wave. Times have changed and with the so have Bajaj, 'Wave' and 'Sunny' are history now...Bajaj has moved on and so should you. 40,000 is not a big price to pay, if it leads to another learning curve..!!! -sibysibs- www.sibysibs.blogspot.comRead More

I do not recomment any mini DVD camcorder for anything but ease of use. Its pretty easy to record, set up the menu and title and formalize the mini DVD before you can play it in your home DVD player or computer. But thats it. The video quality is terrible. Because of the reason that mini DVDs ar...e recorderd on MPEG2 compression at 12.3 FPS ( Frames Per Second) than the 29.97FPS for DV tapes. Yes, the ubiquitous mini DV tapes record at a much better quality than mini DVDs, so much so that they record at 59.97 FPS for HD video!!. SInce the world is drifting towards a HD era, AVCHD ( compression format for HD video in mini DVDs and HD based camcorders) and HDV ( compression format for HD video in Mini DV tapes) are better compared to MPEG2. Personally, I always prefer mini DV based camcorders. Since I work on Adobe Premier for my home videos, I do not mind transferring the data to the computer, edit and copy it to a DVD. However, the quality is compromised since HD/blue Ray DVD writers are still not availabale for end -consumers. Till then all my DV tapes stays with me, with their original contents. As for guys who want a mini DVD camcorder, Canon is a good bet..but Panasonic 3CCD camcorders are the best. See if you can lay your hands on a VDR-250, 300 or a 400..If its available in india. Panas offer superrior picture quality ( as close to DV tapes as possible) and manual control, for those who wants to personalise every shot..!! -Sibysibs-Read More

Another wanna-be Youtube clone. Sharing videos, and movies online is a great marketing tool. I have been keenly following the ‘Indian Idol’ competition on Sony Entertainment Television. Having seen the ‘original’ (The American idol) I feel let down. Talking purely of the money involved, the original Idol has been a huge hit in the US. An average 25-30 million people watch on a given day...Read more
