Hello, At this website (http://waterheater.weebly.com/best-wate r-heaters-india.html), learnt that Remson has 5 star ratings for both ISI/BIS & BEE standards. Remson looks good based on these figures, but one concerning thing I noticed at the below link is when Consumer Voice did a test in 2002, Rem...son failed the water pressure test leading to leakage, which seems like a basic safety issue. http://www.hinduonnet.com/2002/11/17/sto ries/2002111706000400.htm Just wondering, if there have been other recent tests post 2002 which reassures us on this aspect about Remson water heaters . Any comments/advice on this would be very helpful. I would like to go for a brand which is best but also safe, and am right now pondering betn Remson & Bajaj. Thanks.Read More

Forgot to update again... I had reported the problem of ’’if I insert any cd/dvd, it ejects out immediately’’. The philips service centre finally fixed it by replacing the underlying board itself... and it cost my 1200 rs or so! This is like 25% of my original player cost itself. :-(

After a long time, we discovered a restaurant in Bangalore which has food (especially non-veg) with a good South Indian taste. They used to operate in Forum Mall, but now they have closed shop there (high rentals, probably :-) and opened up here at Commercial Street, near the entrance. Apart ...Read more

Have been using this for 2 years now. Plays original DVD/CDs well. But in some rented CDs(pirated, I guess), I noticed an audio lag, which can be irritating. Those same CDs play well without problems in a computer or some other DVD player(like Onida) when I tested. I think this problem is ...Read more

We went through the exact same presentation at their office near the Forum for 1.5 hours a couple of days back. (We were told we are one among the 116 lucky couples from 100000 to get this offer!) They were pressurizing to take a decision right there, but fortunately I chose not to. The offer given... was Rs.80000/- (for domestic only and no free land etc). The next package was Rs.135000. The AMC is Rs.3000. However, there were many catches I could realize on the spot. For example, fuel charges have to be borne by yourself if you travel, food is not free if non-veg. Restaurant is not free (I dont think complimentary breakfast & dinner will be there). After the 5 year period for which AMCs need to be paid, beyond that one needs to pay Rs.200-300 per day if you undertake any trip. Also, they say if we are not interested in making a trip in a year you can rent your property. However, they don't take personal responsibility to ensure that someone will rent it out. They just direct you to some other travel agency (TAG or something) who will charge 5-10% commission when you rent. The answer was not clear when I asked if they will guarantee in renting out my place, saying it is upto me & TAG. Most of all, I was asked to sign up on the spot; else prices will double and it will be first-come-first-serve!! Regarding the gifts. Kitchen set is ok. 1 day country club visit - not allowed on weekends; No room will be given (unlike what we were told during the presentation); When I called up the club, they mentioned only Tables Tennis, Squash & Swimming Pool facilities are available now. Regarding the 1 week visit, during the ppt, they said all is free. Then reading through the voucher, it says we have to pay Rs.3000 AMC. Also it says food is not free. Not sure what catches are there with the cab/driver charges etc. Pls be doubly cautious... I am sure we will uncover more hidden charges when we actually travel using this 'free' voucher.Read More

KPN bus tickets booked online cost 7% higher than the actual fare. But while booking, the website is silent on this extra charge, and portrays as if the higher fare is the base fare itself. The website should clearly show the breakup as to what is the actual charge + what is the extra charge ...Read more
