KPN bus tickets booked online cost 7% higher than the actual fare. But while booking, the website is silent on this extra charge, and portrays as if the higher fare is the base fare itself. The website should
clearly show the breakup as to what is the actual charge + what is the extra charge for online booking.
Also, even if the bus is almost empty, the reservation chart always shows only 5 or less tickets as available. After booking a ticket, one would expect the no. of available tickets to be reduced to 4, but it still would show 5 different seats as available. Thereby, KPN seems to try and create an
artificial demand for their tickets.
Both of the above practices amounts to covert misleading of its onlinecustomers. In contrast, the Railways booking website is very transparent on all these
matters.
The only major advantage of KPN in my opinion is the no. of routes it is plying on in South India (Tamil Nadu & Kerala mostly). But the fares are costly in most travels like these.
