There are two kinds of actors - Actors who play themselves in each character and Actors who get into the character. There are the third kinds, actors which can neither play themselves nor play the character quiet well such as Fardeen Khan, Celina Jaitely et al. But lets not waste our times talki...Read more

Why? Why? Why do we make and watch such movies? We need social movies and movies with message. Not blasphemies like Blue.

Sorry to say but DPL is a stupid program. They humiliate the dancers and they reject them for pretty stupid reasons. I have noticed that if the dancer is you know hot and dances just about fine, he or she is in, rest take a walk. Its less about talent search than bloody fashion parade. Take my ...advice, watch Discovery or NGC. It'll atleast broaden the horizon.Read More

Swift, any given day. I have driven Ritz (a friends car) on a long trip and here are its pitfalls - 1. The ABCs are quiet high so while driving in a city you'll have to keep clutch half pressed or keep your leg high up in the air to avoid clutch riding.. its a big pain in the behind and at the en...d of my ordeal, my leg was hurting as I had come running instead of driving. 2. Sitting on the driver's seat, you won't see the front of your car. You'll have to sit upright and lift yourself up from time to time in tricky traffic situations. 3. I don't like its matchbox design wee bit. Read More

Don't watch SRK movies, they are bad influence. Common symptoms are stuttering, talking your yourself, nausea and eventually retching etc SRK shouldn't be an actor, he should have been a rickshaw puller.

Hi Nivanp, I have lived in Chennai for 4 long years and trust me the the traffic in Chennai, though bad, is far better than Bangalore. My point in my column is not about WHY the traffic is bad, its about how indifferent and cold we, the Bangaloreans, have become. If you don't remember, the...re was this news once in paper about a dead body lying in the middle of the road and no one even stopping once to atleast block the vehicles crossing over the body. The police had to literally steal the body off the road as it was the rush hour and the folks weren't much interested in stopping for as insignificant thing as a dead body! So this is the level at which we have stooped to. I don't consider the above behavior as normal or humane, its behaving worse than an animal.Read More

Say, what about the pollution factor? Tata cars are known for their pollution index. Its a good car but per safety features I don't think it scores much. Sorry to disappoint you but in India, nothing beats Maruti.

What ICICI lacks is SBI's professionalism and no-nonsense attitude. I am sure nationalised banks have their own problems but one thing they don't is make you realise that you are standing in a movie hall waiting to buy a ticket. I recently had a simple draft made in ICICI bank and the officials ...talk among themselves across the counters as if they are standing in their college cafeteria. It was highly unnerving and shrieking, playful calls and tone of their's got under my skin. I suggest you to open an account in SBI, whether you use it or not. Its always safe to have an a/c in a nationalised bank. Its easy and doesn't take so much it used to.Read More

@Arkhan and very appropriately put. I can understand your state of mind. Unlike you I wasn't born in Bangalore and made it my home only after considering several possibilities. The first thing which enticed me about Bangalore was not its weather but its freedom and how women get respect here and ...ofcourse the job scenario, but that was secondary since cities like Delhi and Noida also have ample oppurtunities. I remember how we used to guzzle beer on our terrace in broad daylight and that too in peak summers when the rest of India was simmering. Unlike Delhi, people here don't glare with mouth open at girls. They have there freedom and right to choose. I simple love the city and its atmosphere. If the traffic eases and if people start respecting the roads and each other, what a world class city it would be!Read More

Traffic in Bangalore is punishing, unrelenting and menacing. Every city has its own Traffic problems but Bangalore is different. Its different because people here live in a pseudo-castle of there own. The chewing-gum chewing girls, ipod swaggering studs, ray-ban sporting crew cuts and make up...Read more

Partly its your fault. When a CC rep says something like this - 'you make the interim payment and then only your calls will be debarred!!' An ideal answer would be @#$&^%%^&, intermixed with lots of four letter words and a conversation with his or her manager thereafter. We leave these people... easily, we leave them to have a free hand on the matter and that's why we suffer. Period.Read More
