We zeroed down to Orange County to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary and I am glad it was the best pick. Location:** The property is situated in the land of Kadu kuruba tribe of Nagarhole forest and offers a pleasant view of river Kabini. We were welcomed with tilak and garland with a...Read more

Harry, The best time to go visit this place is after Sep till Feb. They have a website www.chettinadumansion.com. You can also book thru Nivalink http://www.nivalink.com/chettinadumansion/index.html. Although the websites says off-season rates but we had to pay the season tariff for the room, whi...ch is quite mis-leading.Read More

Raj - Thanks for reading and commenting. You should visit this place atleast once. Alok - Thanks for reading my review! I know it is an expensive stay. I guess Visalam is little cheaper than Chettinadu Mansion but it is not as old as CM.

Chettinad, once a land of Chettiars has about 75 villages in southern part of Tamil Nadu state. It is famous for their palatial house built in the 19th Century. Many of them migrated to Burma, Singapore, Malaysia and Ceylon for trading and left behind wives and their children in such huge mansio...Read more

Yeah, I know I make unpredictable visits on MS. My alerts land in bulk folder and I miss out lot of good reviews. Male squirrels don't even bother to make a stop on my balcony and I know to distinguish between male n female squirrels :-) My she-squirrel visits me only one time a day. cheers! S...ahanaRead More

All the alerts land in my Bulk folder so it is hard to make instant visits. I haven't yet watched Shivaji but have listened to that song. I thought it was 'Sahara' but my hubby kept argueing that it is 'Sahana'....so now that you have said, it is my name indeed! cheers! Sahana

Sanjoy, Loved reading your review! Your review brought back good old memories of my dog 'Sherry'. He was very ferocious and I got bitten by him several times, he lived for 9 years. Animal healthcare in India at that time was no better so we never knew what he died off. How I destested their app...roach towards animals. I guess its the same fate even today in all govt run hospitals. I have befriended a squirrel who lives on a tree next to my flat. Oh....she is so cute. cheers! SahanaRead More

Great review! I live only on H2O so not a true fan of Kaapi. But I think my taste buds approve Kappi more over Chai anytime. cheers to BRU-Shanti! Sahana

Santosh, Congrats for posting 75th review filled with great humour. I have my profile in Orkut but don't visit that often. It was fun initially to find long lost classmates but now Orkut does not charm me anymore! Keep writing.... Sahana

Your review made me nostalgic! During our school days, we would spend summer vacation in Udupi every year during which we got to see Yakshagana and Kola. How I detested animal sacrifice ritual being part of Kola. Attending innumerable functions made us richer (with 'Dakshine') at the end of our ...vacation. Never learnt Tulu in all these years. cheers! Sahana Read More

Great background track sung by Sonu Nigam, amazing video and text. I had been to Dodd Aaladmara(Big Banyan) and Savandurga around 5 yrs ago so vaguely remember the place. There is Manchinabele Dam around 10 Km from Big Banyan Tree which is really good. Boy, You missed it! cheers! Sahana
