You should go for Petrol car, I will explain why. Swift Petrol Version and Diesel Version price difference is 1 L. if swift petrol fuel efficiency is 15 kmpl then , you will spend around 5rs ( ~ 75/15) per kilometer you travel. and for diesel avrage is 18 kmpl . you will spend around 3 rs per... kilometer you travel. in your case , Avg running is 300 Per month , so Petrol will cost Rs 1500 and diesel will Rs 900 so with diesel its saving of 600 Rs per month , but to recover 1 lakh rs of ( which you paid extra for diesel at point of buying ) you will need 13 years !!!! and i did not include higher maintenance cost for diesel so go with Petrol Read More
