Hi drkosamia, I'm a little confused with your comment. Did you mean I wasted my time because it was a bad book? Or was it that I wasted my time expecting something else even though it was a good book? Anyway, it's just my take on the book. I was a little disappointed after reading the book.... Not that I regret reading it but just the fact that it was a little less than what I expected. And my expectations were not based on his previous books. They were mostly by the reviews I heard and read about it. I guess the media might have projected it in a different way that it actually is. But one thing I feel is that this book is nothing extra-ordinary. Except for the fact that the author was an ex-IITian. As I mentioned, I'm just one of those non-IITian with a different view. Well Said. I agree that not many Indian authors get such kind of publicity. And I do believe it is the media that needs to take the initiative to bring up the work to the public's notice. I'm not a die hard fan of reading but I still try to read whenever I get some time though. But I try to fi...nd or scan for the books in newspapers, magazines and the internet for reviews. Sometimes, it's the friends who suggest the books. As you mentioned, reducing the price is the only way to kill piracy. We could already see that in action with the music & movies.Read More

BSNL BROADBAND IN HYDERABAD

I’ve been using BSNL Broadband from the day it was launched and seldom had any issues except some minor issues which were caused by some technical issues at the exchange. The technical support staff is not ’’truly technical’’ in some cases but the people who actually come to fix the issue provide go...od support and show that they do care. I guess the main reason for this issue is that BSNL is a govt owned organisation. I’ve had the pleasure of using most of the ISPs (Cable, Satyam, Airtel, etc) and I ind BSNL provides the best service. As promised by them, sometimes I do get a good connection speed of around 2 mbps (generally in the middle of the day). I had been using this to connect to my office using VPN while working from home without any problem. My cousin had been using Airtel for quite some time but the service is never similar. The connection speed is always varying and some times it is too slow to even load a simple website. On the whole, i had a good experience till date. I would gladly suggest this to anyone who has a BSNL connection coz the main issue I had observed is that it is not easy to get the connection. There is a lot of waiting time which is normally not the case with other service providers. But comparing the overall satisfaction, I guess it is worth the wait. Read More

Service -- They know what it means
South African Airlines

I was on the flight from Mumbai to Johannesburg. The food was not exceptional but was fine. The only hitch is the departure time. Could have been some time in the evening as we have to wait for a long time at Mumbai specifically for people coming from other parts of the country. -Sashi
