Nice review, Vikram. Thanks for the note regarding high SAR value. I did not bother to check that so far. I havent faced any software hangs so far. Have you upgraded to the latest MIUI version? That might take care of the hangs.

A good majority of us, yours truly included, equate "Chinese products" with low quality, unreliable products. To a large extend this is true as well. However, the Chinese is quickly pulling a fast one on the Westerners by utilizing the skillsets and experience that they gained while being the "F...Read more

Hello abha_29, I would suggest that you get buy the TV locally from India. Even if you end up paying 5-6K more here, it still makes sense to have warranty and service support. Just a personal opinion...

Thanks Vijayanth and aydeeks for the feedback. Indeed Samsung has become a force to be reckoned with in the electronic gadgets/entertainment arena. Even Sony sources their flat display panels from Samsung these days. In terms of features, product range and price, they outperform the competition. Cas...e in point, Samsung Galaxy S II phone. It kills all competition with its hardware, features, price etc. I had a Samsung phone previously, called D400, which was the first slider phone in the market those days. It still works today after 6 years, without a hitch. This is the second Samsung product I have bought. The way they are flourishing, I am sure I will send up buying quite a few of their products in future too . :)Read More

I recently bought the Samsung UA46D6600 46" LED-LCD 3D TV. I compared Sony, LG and Samsung. LG was quickly eliminated after comparing the display quality, features etc. Sony(EX-720) and Samsung were quite even stevens. I was bought on Sony when I first started my homework. But along the way, I r...Read more

Hi Ajalihal, Thank you for the compliment. No the Civic is not that expensive to own, at least till now. It gives me 9-10 kmpl in city and I get 14.5 on the highway, which is not bad for a car of this size and power. I have a feeling that spares and cost of repair may be on the higher side, thoug...h not as high as, say, a Skoda. Go ahead and buy the Civic, you just cant go wrong with it! Cheers, PravinRead More

Hi Suresh, I too liked the New City very much. The overall design theme is very racial in approach and has a good flow to it, front-to-back. But I too agree that Honda has priced it a little too steeply, especially in these times of economic despair. In my opinion, it is overpriced by at least 75...K-100K. But Honda being Honda, there would still be droved of Indians who would flock to buy the All New City even at this price!! :) Regards, PravinRead More

@Suresh: Thank you. I completely agree. City, Civic, Accord and CRV are all class leaders. the best part is that they upgrade the existing models long before they become obsolete and being the latest models to India reasonably quickly after their world-wide launch. I am looking forward to the new... City and the Jazz. Regards, PravinRead More

@rohitthebest: Thanks man! I am dying to take possession. Will be updating the review with my first driving impression... @Veekay: The City is also a very good car. They are going to revise it after a few months. You may want to wait till it is out if you finally decide to buy the City. My sugges...tion - give in to the temptation and buy the Civic! :-) @Bigmouth66: Thank you Sir! @sujitsraut: I did not consider Corolla since it is not available for sale now. Toyota has stopped manufacturing the present edition of the car. The new version is due anytime now. Innova was considered as a people mover - to take the whole family out for weekend vacation... but then it didnt make the cut against the Civic (obviously), even if it means we have to take two cars to accommodate the whole extended family :-)Read More

Toyota maybe the world's best selling car manufacturer, but in India Honda is by far the better acknowledged of the two, thanks to their space-age car design. One look at the 7th generation Civic or the 8th generation Accord is enough to make you absolutely certain that there are a bunch of s...Read more

My parents bought an Aveo 1.4 LS Limited Edition in July 2007 after trying out several cars like Hyundai Verna, Ford Fiesta, Maruti SX4 and  Honda City ZX. Every one of those cars is  good in its own right. It would not be prudent to say that Aveo is an out-and-out winner in the class. Howeve...Read more

Thanks, Faisal and Raja. Nikon themselves advice their customers to use rechargeable cells. I am sure all other cameras will also be equally power hungry. In fact I believe CP2100 is one of the lower power ones. Regards, Pravin
