please pay heed to the fact that she is now an Indian. What she was before is none of our concern. It was her choice and thats that. Now, I dont know what else she has to do to be an Indian.... perhaps jump on the funeral fire..? If she was'nt half the Indian she is, she would have left India an...d gone back to Italy with whatever she had, to live peacefully and without having to face this kind of insult. It is indeed tough for even an Indian who has lived outside to cope with the sentiments of his countrymen when he comes to India. Sonia Gandhi was a foriegner who had no idea where India even was. It is understandable if she didnt jup at the idea of an Indian citizenship. It is understandable tht she chose to be Italian until she believed that this was her home, until she believed she would be accepted here.. as one of the people... but man.... its such a shame now.. As for advising her husband not to join politics, well thats something to laugh about if you point it against her. I dont even wish to discuss it because there are a lot of people who would indeed do the same. Anyways.. thats that... for now.. dont know what else there is to say against herr... but one thing is inherent... she is a lady with a lot of grace and she can always walk in India with her head held high. I have two choices today or perhaps three, INC, BJP or the Left, if you insist. My choice is and would have been the INC. I don’t want to delve into why.. That should have been done before the elections, not after.. the thing I restate here, is that sonia didnt win it alone and by herself..... but she was the force.. she was the one who toured India by the length and the breadth.. she was the one that attracted the crowds.. partly because of her family name... or whatever.. she was the one that communicated.. she was the one that was the leader of the party.. who made clever alliances with the regional parties.. she was the one who was partly responsible for even selecting the right candidates for the right places... she was the leader.. the success must be attributed to her. the sensex taking a dip is not beacause of sonia gandhi but partly because of the left and partly other reasons which you can find in any economic survey regarding margins. As for sonia and congress.. if teh people want the Congress to lead.... the congress wants Sonia to lead... even if that means betrayal of the people's choice.. so be it. It is within the framework of the right. Let me restate yet again.. even if the people have not directly appointed her the head... their representatives are speaking for the people... if you dont believe they are right.. why did you give them that power to do so in the first place? Anyways.. since she says she wont be the PM now.. and that she will not reconsider... which is sad because it would have been better with her as the leader and Mr. Singh and the rest forming an able support around her. It would have served us better. As for where Sonia was during a war, why she did not take up the Indian citizenship etc., those are matters of her choice, not things to be done with foolish pride. We as individuals would perhaps have done the same. I for one, would not be party to a war that I did not believe in. I dont blame her for that. Read More

Sonia Gandhi. Too much has been said about this lady and not too well too. What is there to argue about? A Lok sabha of 543 or so needs a majority of 272 or so? whether it is got by hook or crook, meaning, whether the people chose it or whether their representatives did. A lady who was in the sa...Read more

Each of us interprets the work in our own way and mould it to suit us.... I dont think we should try to do that.. but invariably we do it... I think we should stop doing that... we should just be... As for the criticism, one writes.. one reads.. one likes .. one dislikes... one expresses it well...... one does not.. all that does not matter... WHAT MATTERS IS NOT WHO WROTE IT.. what matters is whether you like it... I liked what Ayn R. wrote.... and not necessarily what everyone else wrote about her work... some yes ... some no... its got nothiing to do with faces but everything to do with words..Read More

The film was a shocker... the songs aren't. Kasam ki Kasam, like I thought grew on me.. I think its one of the most beautifully sung.. and hopefully will be one of the most remembered songs of the film. if at all.. anyone remembers them ..... The others.. well... kabhi kabhi sun sakte hain..... aur mohabbat hai still sounds good.. so do some of the other numbers....Read More

hi.. There's this part of your review which I have been thinking about, 'I don’t expect much from Johar-Chopra-Barjatya clan anyways. Just entertainment. And Kal Ho Naa Ho even fails to reach such a basic yardstick' I am trying to understand what else one goes to the movies for.... my only... yardstick is entertainment and it is not, at least to me, 'just entertainment'. In every stupid movie, something I noted from a review of Suyog's, there are some exceptionally well shot scenes which kinda like make that movie 'paisa vasool'. Obviously, there must be other factors or yardsticks but I dont usually think much about them... The film is either entertaining or not... in parts or on the whole... simple. isn't it? what people find entertaining is the whole deal I guess... What some people find entertaining, you might find stupid and vice versa. I wanted to know if the film was worth watching.. saw your review... read it and could'nt decide if I should see it or skip it.... coz some of those chopra barjatya and whatever movies were alright in parts to me... I guess I will have to see the goddamn movie anyway... AbhiRead More

hey suyog.. thing is... almost al those films made money.... and to think of it.. some parts of those movies are exceptional... and some are completely out of sorts... dont you think so? some of those scenes you mention are buffoonery indeed... but its the ones that matter that I think you sh...ould pick.. I wont say they were great films all the way.. (DDLJ being an exception).. but then even BOOM had its own shade of dark humour.. just a movie yaar.. I think there are films much worse than those you mentioned... in totality.... but I guess we can only point our fingers at success or hype... Wonder if anyone would have given BOOM a second thought if AB was'nt in it.. it would perhaps have made some money too without him... anyways... I know where to come back to read the same old srk bashing, chopra bashing, barjatya bashing etc... etc. Include me in the Barjatya bashing but not the rest.. that man needs a break now. he is capable of better films. are you kidding me? how many people do you know pay their taxes on time and right on... After he has given each one of us that one minute of exaltation somewhere, that one feeling of pride, that spirit that India never had, after all those long hours of cherishing his contribution as an Indian,... we go on to say he has done wrong... well... well.. and what did he do... ask some redemption for his services.... Its not that Sachin can do no wrong... but even if he does it, one should just say, he has done too much for this nation, for me, and he has provided us that much amount of entertainment.... that I can forego blaming him for the wrongs... Its not that he is in films too.... he is playing for the nation.. he is playing for you, representing you , represnting me, representing those millions who eagerly await him at the crease and pray for him when he is there... Give the man a break.. he has done more than you can do for those millions of Indians worldwide... in inspiring them to give their best and showing how by example too...Read More
