It's amazing and I am sorry you went through a disappointing and bitter experience with them. I owned a Honda Dio from 2001 to 2012 and my experience with them was luckily, a lot better. But the employee attitude and service has deteriorated in recent years and it appears that Honda is only interest...ed in milking its existing market and not supporting its buyers proactively. Why charge so much for a scooter when the company wants to fleece them further by forcing them to buy accessories? Vespa India is another company which follows this unethical practice.Read More

The very fact that Honda has not bothered to respond to my previous observations leaves little doubt about how the company has changed for the worse. Disappointing.

It's amazing that this company is still in business. Why can't the employees bring it to the attention of the police and the labour court?

Extroverted people who join the place are snubbed and treated so badly that they soon go into their shell. Most of the employees are afraid of communicating normally out of fear of being seen as non-serious and losing their jobs. In fact, they talk non-stop inside the canteen (the only time they beh...ave normally) and not inside the workplace where detailed communication is necessary. Everybody wants to get the work over with and disappear at the earliest. The lack of proper communication is often a mask to conceal the lack of deep knowledge of the language or any particular subject. This is why employees, both senior and junior, rarely like their mistakes and shortcomings being pointed out. It is a sad statement on the leadership.Read More

I went to SBI's Specialised Personal Banking Branch in Bangalore in 2006 and encountered terribly rude behaviour from a burly female employee who had been placed in charge of helping customers wanting to open PPF accounts. She clearly did not have customer-facing skills. For a start, she kept me w...aiting for over 15 minutes while she chatted away on the phone and then absent-mindedly handed me a file from her table (she did not look up at me even once!!). I was puzzled, but reached over to take the file thinking that she was handing me the PPF challan. Soon realising her stupidity, she told me in a very loud voice not to touch anything which has not been given to me, when in reality she was displaying total disconnect with her surroundings and lack of basic common sense and manners -- not to mention, accusing me of touching an object which she had actually handed over to me all the while absorbed in her conversation. I was highly embarrassed by the woman's impolite words and nasty tone of voice which was witnessed by other customers of the bank. I complained about this woman's juvenile behaviour to the chief manager of the time. When questioned, the 'lady' simply denied even talking to me!! So much for customer responsibility. At that time, I remember imagining what the plight of customers in other SBI branches would be going by my experience with SPBB. That said, I have also met extremely polite and courteous officers at this same branch and it has been a honour to interact with them.Read More

Must say that the mileage is steadily improving since I bought it in August. It now gives 40 to a litre. A welcome improvement, though still miles to go. Vespa says that the mileage factor improves with time, though by their own admission it may not come anywhere near 60 kmpl. The lack of a fuel i...njection system is puzzling too. This can improve mileage. Vespa uses it in scooters abroad, and they said that the fuel sold in India is not good enough for a fuel injection system. But fuel injection is used in cars in India, so why should only scooters pose a problem for such systems? Either way, I understand Vespa is planning to introduce fuel injected engines in their future variants. As for stability, I am still scared to take a right angle turn when travelling at over 25 kmph.Read More

Great engine with tremendous torque and power adjustment according to payload. But if you are looking to buy this vehicle for its supposed mileage of 60 kmpl, then look elsewhere. Vespa LX 125 gives you barely 28 kmpl in city conditions. The company has falsely claimed 60 kmpl in ideal conditions, b...ut then the actual mileage can’t be this bad by any stretch of the imagination. A company of Vespa’s claimed stature should not be duplicitous when making product claims. And, the stability of the bike is rather questionable, especially when driving on uneven ground, potholed roads or adverse weather conditions like heavy rains and wind. The 35 W head lamp and good storage space are the only plusses of this bike. Not recommended as a buy, and certainly not recommended at Rs 80,000 plus after taxes.Read More

I use a Vespa. If you are looking at mileage, don't waste your money. Barely 30 km in city conditions. And, will not cross 45 km/litre outside the city. Company is misleading customers by claiming 60 km/litre.
