Well, i don't agree with list ... Some of movies here are really good ... coolie, Mard, Shehanshah, Hum kisi se kam nahi were good entertainers. Not bad at all and never deserve in this list. Boom/Lal badshah/Mrityudata .. I agree ... rest are passables.

reply to jmathur Dear jmathur, Kala Pathar was not flop, It was big hit in Metros, but was average success in interiors. You can compare Boxoffice economics of Kala Pathar with most of SRK movies like KHNH, Devdas, Chalte Chalte, Don etc which was just metro Hits.

Paa Fenil, I would like to clarify you on paa, Promotion need to start as late as possible because Amitabh look is unique one and it shouldn't get outdated by the time of release, you can see just within a day whole country know about Paa, what i feel, Look should reveal just 10 days before. Just like BoxOfficeMojo.com for Hollywood .. Bollywood movies gets correct information about Overseas... only because it is reported by BoxofficeMojo.com , No one can deviate or change the collections according to their will. Well for Dostana .. Actually there are 3-4 movies which is really a classic case of studies if you really need to see the swingings of boxoffice .. like Sarkar raj, Dostana, Race, OSO, Jodha akbar .. I would definitely like to give you clear facts about boxoffice of these movies with proper evidence .. DOstana worldWide rights are sold to yashRaj for 45 crores .. Now this is hilarious ... for RNBDJ budget is considered only 30 crores(without SRK's compensation) .. and as YashRaj self are distributer of movie RNBDJ escaped from one more medioter .. which is not in case of Dostana .. dostana has one mediater as Yash raj itself .. Well YashRaj has many resources to earn from Dostana like Music rights, Settelite rights, Theaterical business, Overseas rights, overseas settelite and Home vedeo rights, Indian home vedeo rights ... Now there is one important point to Note .. Yash raj it self is Music and vedeo company ... So what profit will they earn from these 2 will be seen in Future .. Now the tough Question is How much you want Dostana to earn to become Atleast HIT .. because there is no defined category for the cost of Indian theaterical rights .. as all cost is combined .. One more important thing .. Fenil.. above comment become too long .. hope you wouldn’t mind .. well one correction in your above article .. RNBDJ will not be BB at any sense .. FOR getting BB status .. it has to do atleast 80 cr business which it will not .. RNBDJ did around 38-40 in first we...ek .. lets assume higher side 40 .. Now looking at trending of business in 2nd week (falls 45 - 70% .. only doing good business at multiplexes) .. it wouldn’t do business of more than 14 crore(considering ghajini is all set to release on wednesday itself) ...... So 2 weeks total would be 55 crore at MAX .. next subsequent weeks will not cross total busness of 5-7 crore .. So RNBDJ will do nett business of 60 - 62 crore .. This is only HIT Business .. and even Average considering SRK -Aditya combination ... See .. Trending of movie is very important to decide the real fate .. if RNBDJ did 40 in first week and only 20 in subsequent weeks .. this is very very poor .. Dostana Did 26 cr. in first week .. and Its total would be 45 + .. means from first week onwards it did overall business equal to first week .. this is quite OK .. and we ca say it a HIT ... FOR RNBDJ .. it is only 50% business in subsequent all weeks .. so We can say below average .. Sorry if you are SRK fan .. otherwise .. if you think as a nutral .. this is fact ..
