These type of reviews should not be published in an open forum as it misleads many by seeing the header. I own a fiat petra D 2005 model now clocked ~140000KMs and its still running as smooth as butter

Did anybody force you to accept this vehicle from the showroom. Why did you accept a faulty one?

The only suggestion from me is to closly monitor the thermometer and drive the car. If the needle cross the H(Half) mark or 3/4 th of Maximum heat better stop the car, open the bonnet and wait for some time to reduce the engine heat.
Another method is open the radiator and pour water directly ...into that. But beware while doing this .there is a chance(100%) hot water will come out. Usually for jeep we did these kind of tricks.
Closly monitor the heat and drive carefully. Overheating will create many issues
1) You may have to repalce all rubber/plastic materials under bonnet very frequently
2) Engine problems
3) High risk involved(electrical wire melting may lead to short circuit)

But Ideally the engine generates more heat when we drive the car in 2/3 gears compare to 4/5 th gears.
It is a best practice to keep 1-2 L of Oil/Coolent/Powersteering fluid/Water etc in the car. If some leakage happens u can top up the fluid and drive the car to the nearest workshop.

Better keep 2-3L of Coolent & some 10-15 L of Water with you while driving long distance. Please make sure the water is free of dust particles.
If you find the engine overheat(monitor the thermometer frequently) reduce the speed and drive the car with a constant speed(50KMPH). The heat will come ...down. I know it is diffcult to reduce heat by this method If the fan is not working properly.
Again i didnt understand why didnt u face the same issue inside city. coz usually in city drives the car gets heat soonRead More

I have an 1997 model M800 which clocked 80000PLUS km.
The break is sufficeint to stop the car if we drive at a speed less than 60KMPH. There are few occations my break system got failed
In a rainy season(kerala) i drove the car through water which had a depth around 25cm. After getting out ...of that pool,my break was not at all working. I feel that was due to the presence of water in the break pad. After 5-10 minutes of drive everything was fine.
Another occation was
I was driving from bangalore to calicut on a rubberised road(it was a SH not NH) at a speed of 70KMPH. The road was friction free due to the rain. When i applied a sudden break the car stopped , but it went for a 270 degree rotation. But no vehicles on road. so nothing happened :-) .
Apart from these two issues i didnt face any problems with the break. These happened bcoz of my carelessness. Not blaming the machine.Read More
