In my opinion commets from aneeshjoy is not applicable for all sectors/routes. I mentioned in my mail that irctc helpline acknowledged the overloading factor. It happens quite often. IRCTC seems to be working on load balancing.

I agree with the reviewer that there is no justification for giving 25% refund only. Ideally I would expect that not more than 25% would be deducted if the ticket is cancelled 24 hours before depurture. Those who are arguing on acceptance of terms and conditions and longivity of this rule should und...erstand that reviewer is questioning that why this rule is there at the first place? It's a question for the rule makers and we must question their policy decisions. Side middle birth is there for quite some time and you know about it, so won't you raise your voice and ask why did they introduce this scheme itself? I agree with the reviewer's views and find comments posted here very stupid. Anyway, I don't think that tatkal cancellation policy is a tool for railways to earn big money hence question of whether railways is in profit and loss doesn't really matter.Read More

Theoretically speaking thunder strike shouldn't effect quality of TV signals. However, your TV is connected to the mains hence there is probability of signal disruption due electric line induced disturbance.

Hi,
An STB with HDMI is capable of decoding High Definition signal. A HD set top box usually costs 5-10 times more expenssive than standard defintion set top boxes. Cost concious India DTH market is not ready yet for HD boxes. Also, transmission of HD requires lot more bandwidth than SD transmissi...on. This is another reason why broadcaster are not interested in deploying HD channels unless density of HD TV increases in India.
I represent the MNC that provided STB software to Airtel. I wish to know about the technical issues that you are facing with your set top box. Are you still facing those problems?
