Amazing difference!! - Mayapuri - brc or bedini 14 kgs, lembada sensor, timing advancer 33,500 + 3500rc + if we pay 5,000/- more then only we get warranty for 2 yrs. to get it on insurance need to pay 1600/...- more Total 43,600/- WAZIRPUR - 31,500 brc 14 kgs, lambada + timing advancer, insurance 1500/- 1 year warranty from the dealer. RC 3500/-. Total 36500/- As I am a smart customer :0) I checked with both of them and when I shared the same with the Wazirpur guy, he said; it's not possible (LOL..) These dealers take their customers for granted. Anyways, Rajesh please share the address of your dealer from where you got CNG installation done from. Also please share your phone number if possible (incase your advice is needed on urgent basis) Thanks a ton for your valuable advice. Keep penning your expert comments. Waiting for your response. Thnx Rajesh and Mhareesh, your advice would really help in going ahead for a CNG kit. Rajesh, apart from the pick up, is there any other negatives about the CNG? as mhareesh has said a very technically correct fact about GM's Aveo that they have modified their piston rings and maybe some more nicks ...n nacks here n there to make sure that their vehicle should fulfil the need of a customer without compromising on engines life and power. Here in your case, you have already installed a CNG and have also stated that some 'fine tuning' is needed..what exactly do you mean by that? please summarise a little bit more. I might be sounding a little stupid but mhareesh, is there a system or place where we can also upgrade the piston rings of Dzire? Would that help? If we would be able to provide some solution to this problem here then I am sure we would be able to contribute on a very large scale to the current owner's and would be owner's of Maruti Suzuki Dzire. Also, what if some one get's the CNG done from a showroom itself? In that case, you are authorized to run your car on CNG from day 1. But again my question what kind of technology Maruti guys are using? Would that not affect the engine??Read More

Hi schowd / sathishchennai /sethumadhavandrdo and Everyone, I can feel your pain in your words but I have some questions - 1) what were/are we expecting from Dzire? 2) Sathish, when you say 'underpowered' what exactly do you want to say? 3) sethumadhavandrdo , as you are driving vehicles... for the past 15 years, I have no doubts on you but what kind of average were you expecting from the new k-series engine. Guys, I can understand that if one spends a decent amout of money, he deserves atleast what was promised to him. Now what all options we had before the entry of Dzire? Remeber?? Accent, Esteem, Ikon, corsa, sienna (mid sized sedan on Indian roads in the past 10 years) Now I just request you guys to compare your Dzire with all these cars. Today we are only left with Accent, Ikon and Dzire. Esteem gone. Accent with her 1500cc engine is still a gud car but with a CNG version, Ikon petrol is something which I would never suggest to anyone. So, we are left with Dzire in which Maruti has brought in another fitter, leaner 1.2 engine instead of 1.3 G series. Mind you Dzire is only 3-4 years old baby and a change in it's heart (engine) means that Maruti is constantly working to improve the overall quality. Though waiting period is a major drawback but people are still buying this car. Why?? Just because Suzuki is written on it? No, the main reason is that this car comes with a price tag starting from Rs 5.25 to Rs 7.50 on road. DDIS has won several awards and I know many friends and family guys who are so very satisfied with the performance. As far as the petrol version is concerned, I waited for almost 5 months to get the new K series with Dzire and as long as I am concerned, I respect Maruti for bringing in such a good Family ( not racing) car with lot of boot space and refinement that even other car manufacturers are forced to introduce 1.2 cc engines for their vehicles as well. Expectation is set for people to match the k-series n DDIS. Thx, ManRead More

Hi Rajesh, please share your experience of running Dzire on CNG now. It's really nice to know that someone has got CNG on his Dzire Kseries engine. I have also booked my Dzire LXI ( initially booked VXI, but cancelled it due to it's Nippon music system) and the main reason to buy a petrol Dzir...e is that I am also planning to fit CNG to it once I'l complete 5,000 kms on it. I was earlier planning to get the CNG fitment done from the dealers (DD Motors Delhi) to save the warranty but now feel that I should enjoy the K-series engine on petrol first and then will go with the latest and upgraded version of SQUENTIAL CNG system. SEQ CNG is an advanced version of CNG kits in which you need not to compromise a bit either on pick up or life of the engine. Absolutely fantastic. This technology is allready used in Chevrolett Aveo. I have checked and found that this kit would cost you 65K from the dealers and 42k from my dealer who is also the owner of MIJO cng kits (tht's the Indian kit I am talking abt) but trust me as I am driving CNG vehicles for the past 4.6 years and think this indian kit is equally good and easily be compared with any of it's Argentine or Italian counterparts. But SEQUENTIAL KIT is imported as it will take MIJO few more months to develop onf of their own, still they are installing the imported SEQ Kit for 42K. I totally agree with Rajesh that it's not always the kit but most importantly the retro fitter matters the most. I had an Indica Xeta company fitted cng car ( Shrimankar Okhla) but I think tata petrol vehicles are still not compatible with CNG as Maruti and Hyundai cars seems as if they are made especially for CNG :0). Now, that I am getting my car in another 3-4 days, would really appreciate some expert comments from the Dzire owners who have installed CNG in their cars. Especially from the owners of K-series but advice from the owner's of G-series and everyone is more than welcome. Regards, ManishRead More

Hey Ravi, now that it's been quite a sometime you've psent with your dzire, I just wanted to know if you have installed a CNG or not. I have also booked my dzire LXI (as just because of the Nippon music system, I cancelled the booking for VXI) and the main reason for buying a petrol Dzire is that I ...also want to install a cng kit to it. Now Dzire has got a 1.2 Kseries engine too. I had a company fitted CNG xeta (which I sold off after 4 years as tata vehicles are not made for CNG) and few months back, converted my Wagon R 2008 model to CNG. So far I am really enjoying my Wagon R as it seems as if Hyundai and Suzuki engines are made especially for CNG conversion. I have no doubt that a recent introduction of SEQUENTIAL CNG will further push more n more people to convert their vehicles to CNG. Little bit about a SEQUENTIAL CNG kits..we can just say that the current CNG kits are just like carborattor fitted vehicles and the SEQ Kits are like MPFI. I would really appreciate some information from anyone who has installed a CNG kit to either their old G-series or the new K-series engines. Regards, ManishRead More

Hey sidneysheldon, I was expecting a Dzire's review but you have only written about your favourite car ie; Swift. No doubt that Swift is a driver's first choice but if we talk about Dzire, I think Maruti has done a wonderful job by introducing this entry level Sedan which I feel is a absolute VFM. B...e it their Diesel DDIS engine or their new Petrol Kseries, both are rocking. I have also booked a Dzire LXI as I was planning to buy the VXI model first but due to it's poor Nikon music system, I opted for an LXI on which I am planning to spend the margin money of Rs 50,000 and will even upgrade it above VXI (ofcourse along with my choice of hi end music system and some funky gadgets like rear parking sensor, GPS, bluetooth etc). I have opted for petrol Kseries as I will also install the latest sequential CNG kit to it. Sequential is by the way a new technology introduced which ends the difference between CNG and Petrol. In other words, sequential tech means that your car would not compromise on pick up, engine performane, average, life of the car etc etc. Yes it's little expensive ( company fitted is Rs 65,000/- in New Delhi ) and 42k to 50K from outside. The only thing you need to take care about is to find out the right authorised guy specialised in fitting the sequential kits (mind you the procedure is different than the regular CNG kits). As I am in Delhi and like any other Delhite, will enjoy my Dzire at a lower/cheaper running cost. Thanks to the number of CNG pumps which are increasing everyday. Back to Dzire, this car if compared to I-20 or Manza then I would say, at any day, I20 is an expensive, nice HATCHBACK and Dzire is a SEDAN. I am not underestimating I-20 as this is a woderful car but at the same cost you can get a Dzire with a BIG boot space and trust me , when 5 people are travelling on a highway, a boot is really helpful. So, my opinion is that there's no comparision between these two. Now the real competion is between Manza and Dzire.Read More

Guys, we all love comparissions, isn'it? But here we are comparing dzire petrol (K-series) with Manza's unknown engine. Only one setence ie;there's no comparission between Maruti n Tata (especially in petrol) tell me guys wat would you do with lots of space, exciting beige interiors in Manza wen you... are not getting the technology. How can I say tht? Because I owned a Tata Indica xeta with factory fitted cng option and my experience was pothetic. After 3.9 yrs I asked Tata to buy the car so tht I'll book another one from them. The amount which they offered me was 45 thousand. I was shocked. I went to hyundai and sold the same car for 90 thousand. One would say that it's still worst. I agree as I also have a Maruti 800 5speed gifted by my Dad way back in year 2000 and the dealer is all good to give me 80,000 for the car. Now you guys are the best judge. Even Tata is now saying tht their resale has improved but trust me it's not. Real comparrision is between Manza Diesel (Quadrajet) n MAruti Diesel (DDIS). Both got thetechnology and engines from Fiat but here too MAruti wins in the refinement. I have driven both the cars and felt it. Tata is a big NO NO for me ever. I have also booked a Dzire (Kseries) because of their technology. Go ahead buddy n be happy for the fact that you'll be driving one of the bestest available mid sized sedan in it's class. You can compromise wid space n looks but not on technology and reliability. Cheers!Read More

Hi vishwass, go ahead and book the top end model and you'll get the delivery on time. The realistic pic is that it's not the top end ZXI/ZDI, rather it's LDI/LXI is on waiting. I have just booked my Dzire LXI( due to a pothetic music system in zxi and vxi) and my wait time is 12 weeks. But I won't w...ait that long and will somehow manage to get it in a month. But u pls go ahead and book ZXI as they will delier it in a month or month n a half at the most. This is the scene in Delhi but don't know about other cities.Read More

Hi sethumadhavandrdo, your comment shows the realistic pic of Dzire K series. Just because of the pothetic music system (nippon wid no USB in VXI) I had booked Dzire LXI on 7th of Jun, 2010. I'ld rather spend the saving of 45k on a gud music system, power windows, fog lamps and I am all good wid my ...LXI. As I stay in Delhi, I have plans to install CNG later on ( I have one wagon r 2008 wid CNG..amazing performance). MUL is also giving company fitted CNG Dzire but I think I'ld enjoy the new K-series engine wid petrol and maybe after 5 or 10,000kms will fix cng. Now my question is would this new k-series be ok with cng? I don't know if CNG is available in Bangalore. RegardsRead More

Hi Rajeshjk9, Go ahead and buy Dezire without thinking twice. The amount in which you are getting this car with a wonderful DDIS diesel engine is a steal of a deal. If your running is not much, then buy a new k-series petrol version and install CNG after a year or two and you won't regrett your deci...sion even after 5 years wen you'll get a good resale value for your car. I have just booked mine with the new k series engine as I am planning to install cng too. Go ahead and buy it. Feel free to ask any question.Read More

I have also booked a DEzire LXI on June 7th, 2010 instead of VXI as I did not liked the music system. It has no USB. Getting LXI for 5,24,000 (VXI is for 5,69,000) so did not see any sense in spending 45,000 k extra. I'ld rather spend those bucks and will fit everything from outside tht will change ...it to VXI. Guys I was planing to buy the Diesel version but then changed my decision as my running is mainly in city and I think the new K-series1.2 is far more better than the earlier G-series1.3. Another reason, as I stay in Delhi, I am also planing to install CNG to it. Can anyone suggest me weather it's goin to be a good decision or not. Dealers are also giving you CNG options. I do have a Wagon R with CNG and I am extremely happy with it's performance. Also suggest me a gud music systems (Component speakers, head unit, amp, woofer etc) Remember, u can only fit 6'inchs speaker and not the oval but I want ovals at the back so also lemme know how can I do that. Would really appreciate.Read More

Hey buddy, so got U-va for 347000/- ? I thought it's available for 4 lakhs on road in Delhi. It 's a good deal u've got. Keep posting more abt your car. U right that Chevrolet is no doubt giving us a better technology as I drove few of their cars n agree they don't bouce back even if u r driving in ...5th car @speed of 30kms. I guess that it's high time that Suzuki n Hyundai should start working on this area on their popular midels like Santro n Wagon R. I guess U-VA is anytime better than these two in every dept. Only drawback was tht the General motors were almost on a verge of shutting down their business till last year but they have improved everything under the supervision of their new head CEO significantly. yey there's a lot to civer still.. I also believes that all the 4 cars ie swift, vista, ritz and palio have got the same engine n r performing well. However, I feel vista qdj has an edge above all as it has a better interior and space. Also, a model which is second to the top is available for 4.70 on road as compared to swift ldi which... is for 5.13. So, it's a flat saving of 43,000/-. So, if u r really a honest customer of suzuki brand, then u can go ahead n spend few grans extra but I would suggest tht when u r getting the same technology (engine is made by fiat) then why to pay more. But then choice is finally wat matters! Regards, Manish Gurjar!Read More
