Hey Sandipan, I can understand your frustration. I have gone through similar pain for other cards. As I have said, I was lucky to get through the application stage for Kotak easily. Once you have the card, I guess it is better than many others.

You seem to be a good wealthy customer for the banks. I suggest go for Citibank Credit card as they would definitely give you a card. DB, Barclays Standard Chartered, ABN etc which are predominantly from European region are very conservative and risk averse as far as giving credit is concerned. Even... Amex will possibly disappoint you. So that might be the reason they refused to give you a card. There are high chances that you would get a card if you'd approched SBI, Citi, ICICI, HDFC, Kotak etc. Personally I believe Citibank is the best of the lot. Best of luck !Read More
