BD550 is a blue ray player, right ? can you elaborate more what the problem is ? Btw, I am facing issues too with another model LG BX580 which is a 3D blue ray player. It won't play DVDs apart from those coded Region-5. I post a more detaled review separately.

same problem..noticed it this on Dec 2007 statement. Leave aside 2.5% cash back and surcharge waiver, they charged me 2.5% on all pertol buys at BPCL pumps in Bangalore !! CS said that they are giving me 5% back in next month's statement..lets see what happens...better to use HSBC cards..they don't... add surcharge and its across all pumps in India.Read More

Ravi - my advice to you would be to take a personal loan or balance transfer to another card (that supports EMI) and thus pay off your HDFC credit card, your interest liability will be lower. All the best !

Bhuvanesh - This is very unfortunate. In most countries consumer laws protect customers from dishonest retailers and credit card companies, which is absent in India. In US, if you buy and not satisfied with the product and have made a sincere attempt to resolve the issue with the retailer in vain, y...ou are not liable to pay for the charge !! In the absence of such laws in India, banks try to protect themselves first and then the consumer - we'll have to live with it for sometime. In your case, the merchant accepted that they posted a refund later, so HDFC should be able to process it for you, atleast now...hope your issue gets resolved soon. But for a credit card holder in India, this risk is on any bank's card holder....tcRead More
