I am not sure of Gladiator, but on my yamaha libero i have many-a-times touched 90+kmph. Something i followed: 1. The idea is to ride on all the gears for short time (20mins or so) and then let the engine cool down. This will prepare the engine for high speed and also inform you of any mechanical o...r psychological issues. 2. After a rest of 10-15 mins, start the bike and try to race hard on each gear more than your regular speed on that gear. 3. When you reach your decided, possibly straight road with no downhill or uphill. Gradually increase the speed, but be attentive to hear for any noise or indication from engine. 4. Also gradually means, increment speed in 5+ kmph after riding for a minute or so. 5. Don't stop suddenly try stopping reverse 5+ kmph method and then allow engine to cool down. Side effects of driving at top speed: 1. Engine packaging gasket is hampered first if this is your first time. 2. Engine piston may seize if prolonged top speed is maintained. 3. Riders DNA gets transformed to racing DNA. very bad for your bike... :D 4. Believe me you will learn very less riding on high speed and miss many things on road... ;) Now I own a Bullet Electra 5s.Read More

JaveedAhmedM: Thank you. I will definitely update shortly.. ayashkm: Totally agree with you. Peace of mind is what is important while driving, i mean it is of no use if one drives for 1000km but misses all the beauty the journey throws at him. :) Sundeep_leo: Sorry for so late response, The mi...leage in city is around 40kmpl and on highway it exceeds 42kmpl. But it is very hard to avoid reaching 70+ so average comes down to 40 :) Oil leakage problem is not there (touchwood) current odo reading is 16000. Newer bullets have UCE engines, with all different oil compartments merged in one. So again it will definitely seal of the issue.Read More

Very well said Raxx111. Honda, Yamaha, suzuki etc... no offence. No excuses. Bullet once you are done your playing days with toys. Don't want to hurt anyone, but cruiser is a cruiser. You know what you are siting on. I mean you can hear your heart thump and mind dance on starting the bike. Mainten...ance is less if you understand the bike, else start waving hands on simple failures. Looked at people unable to drag there 110+ kg bike even on punctures or petrol issues. Electra can be used in city as well as long runs. Just keep the engine running to fulfill the maintenance chart, guidelines and other things can be easily taken care of. Thunderbird is more of Long highway cruising. UCE engine, Twin Spark plpug, 22 bhp compared to 18bhp of electra. City handling is tedious initially. If rider is above 5.10' then he should go for Thunderbird.. Keep thumping...Read More

Thankyou all who added comments, Dinzaach82, i will just add, once you drive the bike (if 4-5 year old) of your friend/relative, any chance of any other bike will also get buried. :) Sundeep_leo, thanks, love is what seperates commuting from pleasure of 2 wheels. Somewhere I read, 4 wheel...s drive body, 2 wheels drive soul (great one). rajeev_0, DBES, is very useful under pressure, especially from signals. :) tapankeskar, thanks yaar for so beautifull presentaion of words, I mean even I could not have linked it. I will be updating my review once I complete 5k kms. More importantly, I will try to bring out my experience out. Read More

I have tasted my best biking days in the era of rx100. The day I received license to drive, I received a brand new rx100. The sheer youth, power, nothing was on road like it. Then my biking-degraded years had seen many commuting vehicles(splendor, Libero.). This put me in the reverse gear to ...Read more
